We are live-streaming some of the non-offensive competitions and events today. This includes the "Jazz up the scene" concert performed by Jeenio, Darya and KB.

what a party! thanks so much everyone for the amazing experience! after almost 2 years without a demoparty, this was like an oasis in the middle of the desert. I'm still grooving to calypso.sid as we're speaking :)

Okay, me being a massive pain in your butt over the past year was for one reason alone, scamp: to make it meaningful if I now genuinely can say:

You and the team did it. (And I deliberately don't wait for the all-clear in two weeks from now, as you did it to the degree you could.)

God knows organising a party in the current circumstances requires a special kind of madness. With the security measures not just written into a concept, but reasonably followed through with it for an entire week was not easy, especially since you can't control visitors' every move and can only provide the means to protect ourselves.
However it was great to experience that even as a more DONT-BREATHE-ON-ME!!-DONT-TOUCH-ME!!-kinda-person, I only had one single experience in a week where I did not have full agency over how close I want to get to others unprotected. And I (only this once!) won't blame that thunderstorm on you.

Demoparties won't be a completely safe place for quite a while to come, but you've proven that we can do our best as organizers and build meaningful concepts and layout plans, to make them at least as safe as they can get. Hats off to that, and we'll certainly steal a number of features (I'll wear this "Ask before touching"-button for the rest of my life in every situation).

Oh, yeah. And great party.

I miss you. All of you. I hope we manage more of this somehow.
