Got mine yesterday (LaPoste for sure took their time). The book itself is bigger than I expected and the overall quality is good. The amount of presented demos is quite large with lots of interesting comments from their makers. It looks good but the layout is a bit too crowded.

Was it worth the money? Yep.
Got mine a week ago. It is very nice looking, and premium paper and all, but still a bit dissapointed.

The text is messy. The layout is not always intuitive, and I think the biggest issue I have there is no clear structure. For example, pp 30-31 - there's some narrative, there are quotes from Metalwar and someone else, but you need to invest some serious thinking to see where a given paragraph starts and ends, not mentioning that quotes are not marked as well, so you figure out who's talking only from context.

+ Very good quality printing, very nice book.
+ The chronological presentation of demos (together with images) gives a great understanding of how Amiga demos evolved with time.
- Sometimes hard to know which comment was written by whom (seconding angelo here)
- I would have loved to have more quotes, more comments. Frustrating to check a great demo you love, and see there are only screenshots for this one, not a single comment. I can imagine though that gathering comments from creators has already been a massive work.

Conclusion: I'm happy I gave my money, this is very enjoyable, and definitely calls for another book covering another period.

Got mine today (ordered three weeks ago or so), and it looks really nice. Much more content than expected. But I have to echo the criticism from above, the missing designation and attribution of quotes is really confusing. I think the very first story - about the boing ball - is a prime example where this went horribly wrong. I may be completely wrong but I think the second half of the second paragraph there is supposed to be a quote while the first half is not? If that is the case, I *guess* the quote is by Dale?
Please address this if there's going to be a volume 2. Maybe having a second proof-reader would help.
I was happy to find photos of me in there, that I never even knew existed!

Question about shipping times: how long did it take for you with La Poste? Mine was sent out with a tracking code that hasn't been updated since the sending reached Germany over two weeks ago.

It took three weeks from the shipping notification to be delivered here in Finland.
noname: here it arrvied one day after arriving in Germany according to tracking.
Thanks. I'll wait another week or so.

I took about 18 days for me. Fun fact: La Poste tracking status changed to shipped few days before it actually arrived at my doorstep. Probably when La Poste handed it over to my national operator, as the package was delivered by local post.

The problems with layout and (lack of) proofreading seems to be solved with the Volume 2. This is actually a really good book.
