When I saw this thread I thought "why not" but I feel like posting "hey I'm looking for work send me an email" is a bit sparse on the details if not outright blunt. Maybe I'm missing your scene cred and everybody knows in what areas you excel and in what timezone you live but according to your prod list I doubt that(not to mention that your domain can't be reached). Assuming that a potential employer even bothers to click through to your domain seems kinda unrealistic, especially for somebody who looks for a "remote, temporary maybe long term the following few months experienced in working with different experimental stuff" position... even in the context of scene love.

Dangaufer: You have to take into consideration that almost nobody knows you, so writing things like "i've done lot's of different things, been here and there" is not helpful. The only relevant piece of information is "regular software development", so that I can at least guess that you're looking for a job as a coder. But still, that's not enough information. Potential employers need a specific skill set description. Scripter? Systems engineer? Application developer? Web developer? Which languages?

I guess that LJ was also hinting to the lack of information.

In all seriousness, yes, some concise info and links to projects you've worked on would surely be helpful. My old CV was basically 5 pdf pages: The first for personal info (Hi, I'm.., this is what I look like, my email, the three or four most relevant educational points), second for acronyms (here's the stuff I have experience with, casual knowledge in italics or less pronounced), and the other ones for past/current projects in various fields (impressive looking screenshot always helps :D, small info box for tech/language used); Neat, minimal design, no overkill crap. Concise, takes 20 seconds to look through, enough for them to decide what pile it goes to. The less obscure and the more hands-on materials you give them, the better. Nobody wants to do guesswork or decipher someone's vague magical skill set, that might not be relevant to them at all.

(and if you indeed excel as "glue guy" then put that in as well :P)

Out of the side job opportunities I've had in the past few years, 100% have fallen through for one reason or another. I've been interested, then the job has just.. gone away.

Worked in the Games-Industry for my last job, used Unity back then, but i am quite good in Unreal by now as well.
Worked on genereal Software-Development as a Freelancer/Employee before, including jobs for banks, big car-manufacturers, telecommunication-concerns, etc.
And to be honest: my real last job was more like a 6-months-internship (as part of my two years apprenticeship for getting a "software engineer/developer") for the inventors of mp3, i guess you know their name! I just could not take their offered job after that, for reasons...! Coding Robots and doing stuff in Augmented Reality was a lot of fun, though!

companies hire only people who "live close to company office"

person skill level or knowledge does not matter, "learning programming" from nothing (needed for the current job) is about 1-2 month of time(even if a person never ever use PC in the life)
much cheaper and easier to hire and educate someone who lives close to the office than some random guy from far away

programming knowledge worth nothing, and never was, programming is a profession for very stupid and poor people

as "demoscener" with lots of impressive demos - you can star out of any job for years and decades, and have absolutely no offers

me as "coder for fun" I say - drop programming as a profession and switch to something else(even cleaning streets is fine), doing programming for fun in your free time
no one will pay for that skill anyway
