Strider / Fairlight

Please add a thumb left and thumb right fields to pouet so everyone knows if author is a democrat or republican. Or automate thumb right with thumb down and we're done.
Please implement a facepalm reaction on the Pouet BBS, so that I can facepalm all of rutra80's posts 🤦
And pigface for those of us then who don't wanna be either so called democrats or republicans?
Nihilistic piggie
Probably some people here don't have the slightest idea what national socialism is all about. National socialists believe that the world is ruled by Jews. They consider the Jews a race with particular properties (intelligent, striving for money and power). They hate the Jews and want to exterminate them. A national socialist country is led by a leader (Führer) who issues commands all the time and the citizens have to obey him.
Strider is a Republican, which does not have much to do with national socialism. The demo with the Hitler image may be considered a youth sin.

Oh, I had no idea.
Thanks for enlightening us. Case closed.
Clearly Adok has no idea what national socialism is all about if he just pinpoints the antisemitism part of it! I wouldn't quit your day job to become a history teacher, Adok!
The concept he's probably referencing is "explain it to me like I'm five", only he misunderstood it as "explain it to me like YOU'RE five".
hi five!
Gargaj you residued me!!!!!11 :D
If I were to explain national socialism to a five-year-old I would say Skeletor is a Jew and He-man a national socialist.
oh and five-year-olds these days are not familiar with your 80s cartoons... try Dora the Explorer :P
That's totally not the point; I don't have the impression that anyone had the intention of equation the Republican Party with National Socialism. The connection to National Socialism is more because of the Hitler sprite and the apparent Hitler salute and the "kill a commie for mommie" phrase.
That being said, I think it is diffucult to differentiate between adolescent borderline jokes, provocation in arts and music and profound political intentions. While (from my distant superficial impression) I don't believe Strider holds actual sympathies for National Socialism, I would however believe that he might be on the right-wing side within conservatism however.
It is somehow justified to ask for an explanation; if (for instance) a photo would turn up showing a friend of mine somehow in right-wing political context, for sure I would at least ask him what he was thinking and what was going on.

Oh man. I rephrased the post so many times that I introduced some errors.
whats wrong with "kill a commie for mommie"? except 5th commandment of course
It is an anticommunist statement while National Socialism is a positive reformulation of anti-communism.

Haha, that's quite clever. Because the 5th commandment (as in the biblical 10 commandments) could refer to either "Honour thy father and thy mother" or "Thou shalt not kill" depending on the exact religious division being referred to, and both of those commandments can be applied to the same statement.
linking "kill a commie for mommie" to nazism is a bit far fetched, pretty much everyone who wasn't a communist was anti-communist in those days, during the cold war days and probably today as well :)
I think there perhaps was a couple of people that preferred to remain neutral and did not believe in killing people for their political beliefs.
or maybe it's more figure of speech 'to defeat'... many people don't take an actual knife to their clock when they're killing time, you know! instead they go to pouet!
Wisdom... right there.
Closing in on the Godwin threshold.

What do you mean - "closing in"?! The word "Hitler" appeared in the very first post of this thread, it is impossible to appear earlier!
