I hate names with "crew" in them.. "Future Crew" being the most boring name of them all, nothing cool in that as a name.
Then there are some names that would be cool if they just wouldn't be rip-offs from mainstream names... I just can't help, but it always bothers me with Skid Row (band), Fairlight (synths), Spaceballs (movie), etc.
Byterapers indeed is a cool name for me too, and then some more generic or "scientific" but cool sounding names will do too, like Anarchy, Andromeda, Parallax, Complex, Quartex, Resistance, Stellar, etc

Star Blazers. I think thats cool because they're blazing the stars, man!

i always liked TBL, but mostly because of Louie's sexy nu-media logo for it! The FedEx of the demoscene!

Just to mention some that weren't mentioned: I liked the group-names "1001-Crew" and "NorthStar".
The group 'Phenomena' had also a "scientific" group-name, but it's a good name too.

I forgot to mention: There were already a music-group called 'Phenomena', so it wasn't very innovative of the demo-group to call themselves that.
"Unique" - because there is more than one group with that name.
