Well it sounds like an awfully ambitious project. Good luck and all.

no weird spiders in boulder dash.
it had several ports but i think (apart from the sadly banned Boulderoid), this was the closest. (those who were at function 2004 saw me demonstrate the thing ;))

Thank you Gargaj, you've just made me and my father's evening with that link.
Now this is why the amiga rules away all your other lame lowlevel systems:

afaik the port's not finished yet. but wvl is working hard on it, there have already been some previews.. tho haven't heard from the project in a while, so maybe it's stopped or anything? the graphics would be made by jailbird, so it'll at least look good.
it's not the game that's fake, but the 1x1 resolution of the score display, it's really a 2x1 resolution with a black mask over it, making it look like 1x1...
well to be ontopic again, I guess I have found the ultimate answer to one of the questions in monkey island (II?)
"How much wood would a woodchuck chuck
if a woodchuck could chuck wood?"

AFAIK Mermaid/Creators worked on a Monkey Island C64 remake for years, unfortunately as it seems she abandoned the project (maybe for the same reason many Lucasarts remakes were abandoned: George Lucas' lawyers contacted her too). If someone wants to continue the project, I think it would be wise to contact her.
Pinball Dreams C64 remake's previews and progress reports are available here (fortunately the copyright holder gave his blessings to this project): http://noname.c64.org/csdb/forums/?roomid=11&topicid=3589&showallposts=1

hmmm.. i didnt update that csdb thread in quite a while... there are some other more recent topics on csdb about specific problems though..
Credo, I've never ever worked on a Monkey Island c64 remake.
the_Ye-Ti: That's Monkey Island 2!! :)
Porting MI to the C64 is like going to the moon in a bathtub. I'm sure it can be done but why not use a rocket? All this talent should be used for original works me thinks.
On the other hand. going to the moon in a bathtub would give some mad street props. :)
Is this still a serious project? :-P
Are there other old, but goodie games we need to fuglyfy, now that were at it btw?
