DRH97 was held at Arena Kupolen in Borlänge, Sweden for the c64, amiga and
pc scenes. Arena Kupolen is the largest indoor-arena in Sweden and the
largest spherical building in Europe. The total area is about 14000
squaremeters, the ceiling height in the exhibition area is 24 meters and the
diameter is 124 meters. Places will be available for 2000 computers, as well
as an exhibition area, a video hall and some sleeping halls. Telia will
deliver a LAN with fast internet access, at least 4mbit/s.

В связи с невозможностью обеспечить порядок и безопасность техники при большом (> 1000) количестве гостей и участников, а также благодаря совершенно недопустимому поведению значительной их части, второй день ENLiGHT'97 был отменен. Таким образом целиком прошли только ZX Spectrum и Commodore Amiga конкурсы.
Исходя из вышесказанного, никаких результатов/итогов ENLiGHT'97 не было и не будет подведено. Любые попытки кого-либо их объявить, следует воспринимать как личную инициативу этих лиц.

In connection with the impossibility to ensure order and safety of technology with a large (1000) quantity of guests and participants, and also because of the completely inadmissible behavior of their significant part, the second day ENLiGHT'97 was abolished. Thus wholly passed only ZX Spectrum and Commodore Amiga competitions. On the basis of that state aboved, there were any rezul'tatov/itogov whatever ENLiGHT'97 not and not it will be supplied. Any attempts of someone to declare them, should be received as the personal initiative of these persons.

but yeah, stupid me, i could have checked if they have an official site. so, if you see me at a party, just make yourself visible and you'll get a beer or two. =)

and the reason for the e97 fuckup is actually far more funny. not power failure, but too many people and most of them drunk... =) now i remember, raver has been there and told me it was legendary. :)
and as far as i know, e97 was the reason for russian demoscene not to do parties overnight anymore and be so strict on booze.
