Your parents' favourite demos?
category: general [glöplog]
My parents (somewhere in their 50s iirc?) generally aren't into demos ("not really our thing"), but they were quite impressed by Faraday Future by LJ & Alcatraz.
I recall my dad kind of liked Substance back in the day, mostly due to the soundtrack.
Code:
[23:18:56] <noby> my parents watch the revision live stream
[23:19:07] <reality404> My mum does not get but she watches the revision live stream.
[23:19:09] <GargajCNS> my mum does too
[23:19:23] <blackle> my parents *found* the recordings themselves, somehow
[23:19:26] <GargajCNS> mine too
[23:19:29] <blackle> because they heard I won
[23:19:30] <noby> same...
back then my dad attended several demoparties with me, not to helicopter-parent (he wasn't like that at all) but he was genuinely interested
and then your mom creepily texts you with "i can see you on the stream!". true story!
My mom had nightmares about Evilbot.
Also what Maali said.
Also what Maali said.
and my dad has rrhoid on his phone!
Better to have rrhoid always with you than hemorrhoid.
when you're 60+ those get preventatively removed
Rrhoids?
"Doctor this spikeball hurts in my bottom, please replace it with rubber vectors"
hemorrhage > hemorrhoid > diarrhea
my parents give a shit, apparently.
My father really likes Jesus Christ Motocross.
My parents were impressed with Future Crew's Second Reality on my custom built 486 DX2/66 back from the end of 1993. :D
my mom jsut scared of second reality pentagram on head thing once
The only demo my dad ever watched was also Future Crew's Second Reality, so I'd say that would be his favourite demo.
It was also the very first pc demo I ever watched, and needles to say I loved it immediately.
