Demobit 2019 Resolution - 1st - 3rd February 2019 - Binarium, Bratislava, Slovakia
category: parties [glöplog]
tsk, you defend a batshit crazy asshole who threatened sceners and all that, simply because he wrote some dreadful crap for your pet project diskmag? maybe he's not the only madman
Adok, dir hat man einfach nur in den Schädel geschissen, sonst nix.
Thank you Zden and Natalia, it was a great party!

In 2004, an infamous Hugi author named EP wrote that demos should be released as videos on YouTube.
And in 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit.
Correct me if I am wrong, YouTube was founded in February 2005.
Back to the topic... Great party with many good releases! I hope everything is uploaded somewhere (not YouTube) soon. :]
We'll try to upload the productions soon. The results are here. We badly need some rest ;)
the party was ace, thanks to everyone! see you next year or maybe even before!
I don't even know where to start. This has been one of the best parties in my life. I spent two days and two nights being surrounded by friends, a big family, one of those families you love to hang around with.
I'm still hyped a lot and full of emotions. Releasing the first .exe prod ever is one thing, but having it scored that high shocked me and I'm fully aware of getting some newbie bonus points because objectively (haha) I would rather place it somewhere lower. Also, losing against Altair only is like winning in the Human Category anyway :-)
I would like to thank everyone who made this experience possible and for making me feel welcome to the family. I love ye.
The music prizegiving ceremony was awesome, I still don't believe this happened. Also, I was so excited about getting my presumably 2nd place that I just stopped registering whatever was said from the stage. As the result, I only found two hours later that I hadn't gotten the second place. It was shared first with rather awesome Nagz.
High level of awesomeness, thank you once again!

My wife and I were watching the livestream from home, but were very impressed with what we saw. We didn't see the whole thing but watched on Friday and Saturday evenings.
We saw and enjoyed the PC & Amiga compos, I would imagine that for the orgas it was a very hard choice to decide which entry would be placed where, as they were all outstanding in their own ways. Don't remember any productions that we didn't like at all.
The liveacts were great, it was nice once again to watch the fantastic set from Logicoma, with Hoffman, Ferris & Wobble doing their thing.
But the standout liveact for us at least had to be the excellent set from Jan Sicko & Pjoni. That set certainly reminded my wife of the very early career album releases from Jean-Michel Jarre, so I do trust he was an influence for this act :)
We did get to see some of the entries of Friday night's streaming music compo, they were all delightful to hear.
Many thanks also for the perfect non-glitchy Youtube stream. Considering the country where it was being broadcast from the infrastructure must seriously be top-notch for the 'net. Probably better than in most parts of the UK, but there we go.
Demobit * may * be a party we might attend at some point one year. We'll have to see how things pan out.
All in all, congratulations once again to the orgas for a great party and livestream. We had seen a bit of the 2018 party last year - at least, seeing Smash's talk and this was also good too.

Super fun party!! So sorry we had to leave so early, but what can you do.
Anyways, thanks for the great hospitality and atmosphere, and the compo entries and talks were fabulous as well. Extra <3 to zden and natalia for inviting us and getting us there; it was a blast :)

What a great party and what a unique setup. Love the fact that the area where people sit and do stuff / socialise is separated from the viewing area where people watch the compos and seminars. The beer is also rather bloody good :D
Fab party and would highly recommend it to everyone!
Thanks to zden and natalia for inviting us, we all had a blast.
lastly, anyone know what that guy was on the stage during our live show??? and no he isn't Darth Shader!

Adok it's called "being a dick syndrome"
I finally managed to get some decent rest after the party. It was a tremendous experience, and I would like to express my huge gratitude to all of you out there - participants, competitors, artists, speakers, technical staff, sponsors and venue staff! Especially:
djh0ffman, wobble, ferris - your set was a fuckin' blast, my sore feet day after just confirmed that ;)
The Artway group - for the perseverance of releasing an Amiga entry on EACH Demobit edition and especially for helping the compo team make the entries running and recorded during the very hot & nervous period just before the compo block started. You guys are GREAT. <3
Gargaj - for the help on last minute fixing of the WuHu. And once again sorry for pressing your hand so hard, I swear it really wasn't intentional. Get well soon!
Leśnik - for helping us calibrating the beamer and making the productions run with a nice A/V sync :*
_docd for being the nicest ever guy in the world, beers, great talks and just a presence. It was a pleasure to meet you in person!
Haohmaru, Zden - for great and smooth cooperation on all compos related stuff and being there when I needed you at each and every moment.
Bombe - for running the SceneSat stream!
Pytkin, Norton, bon - basically the same for the audio and network department. This year the sound quality was really great!
Citrus - for letting me and several other sceners crash at his place after the party
Natalia, Severin - for your hard work on the infodesk!
Altair - for taking care I don't stay TOO sober during the party ;-)
Spikki - pleasure to meet another Finnish soul I instantly get the good vibes
Santa - for multiple entries ;D
...and to all I forgot.
I would also like to deeply apologize once again ham and Artway for screwing up the sound on the Amiga entries. This shouldn't have happened I solely promise it won't ever on the next Demobit.
Love you ALL!
