...to find out the name of a game i'm searching for several years by now.. :)
it was a DOS game and the main character was some kind of police-officer/undercover guy hunting down drug dealers.. the gfx/animations were kinda like similar to "classic" console 2D scrolling beat'em'ups (f.e. final fight or streets of rage), but the gameplay was more about shooting with light and heavy weaponary (pistol, magnum, rocket launchers etc.) and resulting in (for the time) rude gore fx..
one more word about the gfx: as far as i remember they mostly consisted of photographed/scanned characters and handdrawn BGs..
i always thought the game name was "drug wars", but i could also be completely wrong.. (as there are at least 2 games that use that name: the classic "simulation" (multi-platform) and an interactive video-based (Dragon Lair style) arcade title (Crime Patrol 2))

but yeah, not a bad game, tho i think i got stuck after some point when i last really played it - which was when i was 8-9... but then I lost it in a drive crash (see below) and when i found it again i couldnt play it anymore :/

it wasnt a harddrive, it was a weird 40MB(?) thingy with the area of a 5'25" floppy and the height of around 1cm or so... I dont recon the name anymore so could anyone reveal what type of drive was that? :)

Actually, I'm still looking for an old (monochrome) ASCII racing game I played on some old 286 way back. The winding 'street' was scrolling upwards, there were ramps and plenty of other cool feature and obstacles. Any suggestions?
