which group to choose with prods made by a single scener?

I mean of course you can just go by the results.txt and add every scener as a 'group' but that doesnt feel like the right thing to do.
Its been done in the past with some prods while others do not have any release-group (with a bit of luck the scener is in the prod-credits or the nfo). Both has ups and downs I guess... is there any opinion on whats best?

What good will you achieve by claiming that it was released by a group, if you think it was not released by a group?

there are tendencies lately that are not traditional.
i prefer the group thang, but it is up to the 'core-creators' of a prod in the end.

there should be a way to credit just a scener as maker of the release, not a group.

a strong sense of community is that even if you make something alone you credit it to the group you dearly belong to.
Maybe ask the scener? Or if it's a party release, take whatever group they put in the beam slides?
Put no group in and add credits only?, I did it on Patchwork.
For this one there’s no group and yet there are two people credited! So it is a group with no group http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=77028
I believe only the name of the prod and the download link are "mandatory" on pouët.

Easy. If the prod is not released by a group (according to the creator) then don't link it to a group on pouet.
No point in letting pouet functionality or personal OCD issues trump the intent of whoever actually made the release.

maybe a "if theres at least 3 releases credited to a certain handle/name it makes sense to add the handle as a group to make sorting/things easier" thing is the most practical approach...
But of course it should totally be the prod authors decision in the end, some consider themselfes a "one man group" and some others dont have any or want to release outside of it.

I don't want that some random guy add my handle "as a group" just because of a random "practical approach".
Moreover, there are prods made by various sceners (that is, multiple authors of a single prod) that were released without a group name (despite such sceners are actually members (or former members) of some demogroups). Example Robot Gang (if you think that is made by a single scener just because you see only one handle in the pouët's credit bar, check the nfo or see the demo).
Surely they will not welcome they idea that some random guy with some random "practical appoach" ideas add some random subset of their former or actual demogroup names to a particular prod that they prefered to release without a group label.
Just respect the author/s decision.
