Well as a lot of ppl use the BBS, it can be great to help administrators with a list of suggestions to implement.

Here is some of mine :

1/ add a "not allowed" wordlist : ppl using them get their account disabled for one week as punishment, and their logo replaced by "banished" for coarsness.

2/ always display the topic at the top of the page so we can remind it even after tons of pages

3/ sort bbs topic using all the time available horizontal tabs : this way it is faster to find and have a review of different topics.

4/ enable more topic categories like Amiga / PC / Atari / Sex / ...

1/ enable more topic categories like Amiga / PC / Atari / Sex / Crappy ideas about BBS implementation / Trolls...

2/ Allow users to hide posts if they deal with crappy ideas about BBS implementation or are written by trolls. (done)

are you that same ep guy who spoke out against the annoyinguser option, even calling it censoring? (which it is not)

I would really appreciate a function that tells people to fuck off whenever they post something really retarded. Until that is implemented, we have to endure posts such as yours.

5/ people stop flooding 10 threads at once with (off-topic) irrelevant crap about their existential problems with Dipswitch

6/ non time-waster way to tell retarded users to fuck off

Plz add an option to reduce the number of topics and make 6 months old topics available for download as a .txt. while removing them from display.

what kind of words do you suggest should be banned? how do you deal with people misspelling these words? this is a non-solution for a non-problem.
