First I would like to say sorry for my recent behaviour. I have been mad at the whole world.
Even though life gives you obstacles ... this is not the way to react.

But right now I am very worried ... not for myself, but for my fiancee Tatyana ... she lives in Berdyansk in Ukraine and she has heard people talking about that city might be the target of a new russian invasion.

So ... this is not about me and me losing my job after 2 days ... this has now escalated into being a matter of life and death. Please show your support on linkedin ... I love you guys ... you're my second family

Regarding the communications disruption:
The mobile network in Berdyansk is awful compared to Zaporozhye where she lived before.
Call are cut off mid-sentence ... and you need to try many times just to get a call though.

on a serious note, if there is no communication, then call an embassy in the area to ask what the situation is there plus follow reputable news sources closely. work out an escape plan for your fiance since - i assume - she wants to get out of there as soon as possible. as for the job hunt: good luck!

Pretty sure all the fuzz is about the annual russian military drill and that all countries near Russia always fear they'll use the drill as some sort of cover for an invasion. I've not seen any indications that this year's drill is considerably more likely to be a cover than previous years. As to why there's crappy mobile connectivity ... there's about a gazillion more likely reasons than russians jamming signals or destroying infrastructure.
