You need someone to add a cowbell to a tune so it can get released?
*g*
@orga crew: if i want to get a scene-related slide to be shown on the bigscreen - do i just walk up with a usb stick, or do you prefer me to send it somewhere in advance?
@orga crew: if i want to get a scene-related video to be shown once on the bigscreen, is it even possible?! Especially when I'm not present at the party.

Before is better. Please send it to hotline-2017@revision-party.net
"No one simply walks up to the orga area with a USB stick!"
@gaspode:man that sucks. If you send me a bass drum I most probably can put it in my tracked music entry though. It may include a cowbell, too ;)
I already have a bass drum, but you can never layer too many of them!
I've seen the new Ghost in the Shell movie yesterday which essentially is a medley of Cocoon demos, especially the first 10-15 minutes. Now I'm looking forward to Revision even more!
cubes in the shell
kylearan : i'm on it ^^ or not......

I guess I'll mail in my slide this year then :P
on a different note, I'm a *little* bit confused about some of the music compo rules:
Quote:
Do not use any copyrighted material in your track. Yes, this also applies to vocal tracks 'found on the internet'.
Doesn't this conflict with the whole "Zitarecht" and related things as mentioned on the copyright page? Am I still allowed to use, for example, a short sample from a TV show (if appropriately credited in the infofile), or does this whole page just not apply to the music compos?
For this party I'd really would like to have discussion(informal workshop) about bindless textures with somebody.
I'm happy the Titan X arrived on time! So, can any organizer weigh in on the Nvidia driver version? Is 381.65 the official version or can it change?
We just sent out the airport information mails. If for whatever reason it did not reach you, you can also get the aiport information PDFs directly from our shuttle page:

If you are using 4klang, Clinkster or Oidos for your 4k/8k/executable music, come to our seminar & workshop on Saturday morning for some tips from the creators.
Yeah, I know it's right before the 4k deadline. But maybe some optimizations to the music/synth could give you those last few missing bytes. ;)

I'll probably watch Revision 2017 from home as a sofascener. Although I have vacation, I don't think meeting 1 or 2 friendly people in person is worth the money.
Adok, would you like some fries to go with your salt?
i wont be there so you will have a bigger chance to meet friendly people :)
It seems a bit aggressive with Win10 creators edition, which has barely rolled out...
I've upgraded now and there is a potential problem with small dx11 intros utilizing the ability to map the back buffer as a RWTexture - at least the debug runtime is now throwing errors (but SEEMS to work anyway.. dunno for now, investigating).

Psycho: that sounds terrible! I am doing exactly that!
But it still works, yes? So my intro will run on the compo-pc?

Why did we install the creator edition?
I didn't want to install the creators edition initially, but then both compo PC's prompted me with something like "hey, I just downloaded this awesome update, if you don't click here immediately we will install this thing!". I got scared and though better install it now then in the middle of the demo-competition.
I tested tons of demos and lots of 4k, 8k and 64k's, and till now everything works as expected. I will continue testing more 4k, 8k and 64k's.
If you are feeling anxious, just make sure to meet me as soon as possible so we can test on the compo-PC.
