Slengpung upload.php and add party?
category: parties [glöplog]
Facebook is fickle... I want to upload to Slengpung :)
So I know there's a howto in the FAQ. Was wondering if sceners could be trusted to upload directly. Cos I think they can :) And it would (potentially) be less work for admins.
Also, the photos were for a recent, pretty well-known party that is on Pouet and demoparty.net, and perhaps therefore perhaps in a database table that could be shared via sceneid also?
I realize all these sites are doing their own thing, but that would perhaps eliminate the need for my second request, for users to be trusted to add a party.
I'll send photos the usual Slengpung way now, this is basically just for discussion with Slengpung staff that are also on Pouet (I think you are... ;)) if we could make Slengpung, well, more automatic or so.

apart from the fact that slengpung is like web 0.5 - we wouldn't want automatic user uploads because it's a curated site. the editors choose fotos to be included. in any case, if you have fotos for slengpung, you're more than welcome to get in touch!
User uploads and curating don't contradict each other though - but yes, it's something that currently cannot be done, and plans for Slengpung 2.0 have been there since... how many years?
Right now it's dfox who has access to the code and pretty much noone else, so..
Hehe, ok well it's not hard to make or integrate, if you want my autorot+resize form I could just make it free to use.

Just seems membership is only for tagging, not contributing atm. A script should resize and post, admins' time shouldn't be wasted but just check for abuse :) just captcha+login should cut down even on the checking.

All of those are sensible suggestions, but most of it would better be held off for a complete rewrite of the page, I think. It's already on the list anyway.
bumping this. slengpung needs a new layout (with a mobile version).
