I did avoid mentioning that.. plus... we've not left yet.. it'll be 2 years max after article 50 has been invoked, and it hasn't been yet. I voted to stay. There is talk of some political parties campaigning on a another referendum vote for the next general election. so it could get reversed! the margin was too right IMO.

However, let us not speculate any further, Sundown is less than two weeks away and I for one am very excited (and struggling to fill the last 40 seconds of my production with visuals!!!)

I wanted to talk a little about the "last Sundown" thing. There were a number of reasons why I said I'd knock it on the head.

- Danbee wasn't available to do sound/PA this year - he's the best sound chap we've used and is very skilled at his art.
- Stavros helps massively with co-ordination and party setup; he's got a new job that's very demanding, I didn't think he'd get time off.
- At the time of writing I was having a fucking awful time at my job.
- I thought the UK Scene was a bit flat, #ukscene is very quiet, and not many people were taking trips abroad to other parties, which was a bit crap.
- I was generally feeling like a miserable git.

What's changed?

- CGI has long term loaned us a PA system. It'd be silly just to leave it sat there doing nout.
- Stavros has taken time off from his job to help us setup this year. Cool.
- I have a new job now, and it's a LOT better. No office politics, hoorah.
- A lot more people than anticipated have decided to come along since announcing the party.
- Since changing my job I've relaxed into my usual self again which is nice.

That said... I just need to have a chat with some serious folks at the party to see what we can do next. I cannae do it all myself again, and I think there's definitely scope for improvement if others can chip in and help. Stuff like better branding / web site / social media, catering, party decor, sorting out getting invitros made, other hype/marketing. I just look at Nordlicht or Outline's online presence and think they fucking rule! The logos, the cool invites, maaaannnn.

So I'm still buzzed for party organising, I just need a group of pedantic optimists and pragmatic socialites to huddle with me to bring something newer and fresher to the fore. But it's gotta be better than Sundown (which I know a lot of people are fine with, thank you) - but I'd love to knock it out the park if possible, even if it's called Sundown++.

So if anyone wants to chat, let's talk in the car park at Budleigh while I'm squinting at the sun. ;)

Fell, budleigh has about 30 portals in Ingress, so I would assume most of those have been imported onto Go :)

I wish I could have gone because I heard so many nice things about Sundown and its the last chance to see them :(
