category: parties [glöplog]
Enjoyed my (short) time at Revision 2016 a lot. Thanks to all the organizers! The photos I took are here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/sebastian_bergmann/albums/72157666363300866

I've said this before. Thankfully the guy at the desk allowed me to pick which arm my wristband went on this year.
I just thought you might know a bit better than me, if it would cause you any trouble while doing your set.
This has definitely been the best edition of Revision I have been to. Massive shout outs to the organizers and all friends I've bet, both old and new.
Right now it feels like I want to keep on partying, but also cry a million tears and go die in the corner in a fetal position. Time to go home, see you next year <3

Anyone wants to check if the 2 points margin is the narrowest in the history of Revision? :)
PC 64K has become my favorite compo. IMO this one had two winners.
Thanks for everything, orgs and visitors! Thanks for voting us to our first prices at the easter party! <3 see you again soon in a different partyplace...
What JTZ said.
@Gargaj: Yep, looks like it. Previous record was 3 points, in the tracked music last year...
This was the last screen captured from the Revision stream:
Thanks so much for the great time, stable stream, great coverage, awesome prods and perfect atmosfear.

we lost an ebook reader (tolino vision). small black thing with a "misti kacki" sticker on it. just in case it pops up somewhere. party was freakishly awesome!
I feel for that poor cyclist, who has to travel home through the heavy rain.
Congratulations! You made all this mess! https://mobile.twitter.com/nodepond/status/714437942354317312
excellent party as always. had a bit of a different revision than normally due to food poisoning so my saturday wasn't fun at all (sorry that i gave a grumpy face to certain people who wanted probably to say hi, but hey..), but, thanks to venomsoup (what's in a name) for those drops \o/. anyway, awesome releases this year and nice diverse music acts! the delays this year were very unrevision tho :D

KindBarend said that he's most likely going by train (and also not today). :)
Anyway: This party was massive and excellent! Strong compos all across the board, awesome entries every day, awesome DJ sets and especially live acts (<3 /KICK), and way too little to meet and talk to everyone. PC 64k was massive and that 2 point different.... is just wow. :D
Awesome party! Huge thanks to the organizing team for making it possible (you all rule!), and to everyone else for the prods and the general party atmosphere.
What happened to Truck btw?
Medical condition that shall not be discussed publicly
I'm 100% with Saga in that this year's Revision was even more massive than the previous ones! (Almost) zero delays, awesome DJs and live acts, and the compos... just wow. What a way to start off the party season! <3
I loved the EvilBot theme, and it was amazing to see it integrated into so many productions. I liked the new (to me) audio preview feature in PartyMeister and the complete track anonymization. Worked very well to prevent me from namevoting even subconsciously.
And also what AceMan says. I don't like that at all; it feels like cheating others out of their chance at a prize.

Please don't allow using the same content in exe and msx/gfx compos. It's fucking lame.

2 point difference in PC intro also happened in 1998, when Revision was still called Mekka & Symposium ;-) Licht came second to Paul's Boutique
Seriously... Could a party be better ? A concentration of awesome ppl, perfect organisation, impressive productions and always that super friendly ambiance. Highlight of the year !!!! I so miss everyone already ;(
Thank you to all the usual suspects, and I woke up with the worst hangover in history.

Most ppl vote during the compos, so I can't see how this is a problem? Also - it happened many times in the past and no one ever complained. Go on and tell Moby that he is "fucking lame", because he won TP'93 music compo with Arte soundtrack…
thanks for the awesome party!!
It was a great party - I especially liked how the audio was levelled to a reasonable level whenever something tried to be too loud.
And congratulations to scamp for winning the unofficial live bugfixing compo ;)
I liked the live voting by app - worked quite well, didn't hiccup like it did now and then last year either.
Just the iOS app had a few issues:
* Live voting often ended too early. Especially when the last entry really took me away - I looked at my phone to vote for it once it ended, and sometimes live voting had already ended!
* Also a bug in the iOS app - the voting page never refreshes unless I kill the app. Even then it seemed to takes a while from end of compo until I could vote for it, a bit annoying this gap, if I haven't voted for the last entry yet due to the previous issue.
* And another iOS app bug, quite often when switching compos in the "vote" screen the scrolling got stuck and didn't let me get back to the top of the page again
Ideas for improving live voting:
* Just always show the last 5 entries, no matter which compo, even across compos, instead of how it is now (-> they should fit onto one screen, no scrolling needed)
* Maybe also an option to scroll down to see further entries (maybe even all shown at the party so far)
