WAB.COM Domain name have been stolen...
category: general [glöplog]
Hi there,
You can dislike or love the work the CODEF community and I, have done during those years, it's not a problem.
It was just to inform you, that in 2016, it still easy to loose a domain name....
Someone Social engineered my registrar ( @godaddy the january 12nd 2016 ) and get access to my account. He changed the passwrd, delocked the domain, then Validated a domain transfer to reg.ru .... Since he was smart enough to let my dns, i didn't notice it... ( i am not one of those who check the whois each days...)
Since you need 60 days after a trasfer to move to another registrar, the March 15th, the new owner (i bet the thief sold the domain to someone), have been transfered back to godaddy. A "chance" for me that the new owner also use godaddy... but he changed the dns, so my website and services are now down ( that's near how i noticed the steal).
For now i opened a dispute ticket @godaddy, and no answer yet...
I hope they will find evidence of all this, and get my domain back.
If some of you have contact or ideas about actions i can do.
FYI : wab.Com moved to http://wab.santo.fr
Demoscene rulezzzzz !!!
Regards,
Antoine Santo AKA Alonetrio AKA NoNameNo

sad news ... keep hoping ...
you can always blame it on yoshi ^_^
Sweet poetic Justice if you ask me! years of stealing intros from flashtro.com (which you are still doing!)
REMOVE my PARADOX and PARANOIMIA.... intros, I told you in the source not to add them to you site, as I don't want to be associated with thieves !
yet you still have no respect for anyone's wishes.
How does it feel bitch to have someone come and steal something you have worked hard on?

musashi9: complaining about someone "stealing" a cracktro remake posted with due credit is just awesome! wait, let me grab some popcorn.
Posting it and tweeking it when he was specifically told not to is just the same in my book. Why are you defending this code stealer, he has been getting away with it for years. Poor Christian Corti worked on his FLOD oldskool mod replayer for years and kindly released the source only for this douche bag to come along and rip all the licence agreements out and remove Christians name and claimed credit for writing it.
REMEBER THE CODEF mod music replayer? .fucking scum bag.
Christian almost stopped working on his replayer when he found out.

He is still claiming copyright on Christians work

Neoart is Christian's flod engine

I see potential a drama here.
Maybe you guys should implement a copylock on your cracktro remakes ? :]

well, crackers never stolen work from others ? even from other crackers ? :)
You don't know about the amount of ripped content (modules) in cracktros then.
You're entering difficult territory here, since it's rewritten in a completely different language it's of course some derivative work, so the question is if there is any mention required. Of course it would be nice to give credits, but is it legally required? Depends on the original license.

When you CLAIM COPYRIGHT it is not so difficult. It is down right dishonest. And nothing to rewrite, Christian released the full JS source too and even if he did convert from AS3 there is not much to change. Does that give a scum bag the right to remove someone's name/credit completely and slap your own copyright on it?
alonetrio: ouch.
groepaz: LMAO, good memory

blasty: apparenly some don't remember where WAB comes from :)
Oh shit!
Sad news.
Do you think it could have been better with another registrar?
(maybe a notification when you pwd/email changed or I don't know...)
Good luck, I hope you will recover your domain soon.
