Yes you read that right. This is your last chance to visit the seaside demoparty experience that is Sundown. Pebble beaches, super friendly atmosphere, awesome compos, great sound system and (most important of all) the BEST fish and chips in the WORLD!.

After 11 years, it's time to give Ruairi a well earned rest.

Oh dear... I had no plans to release any demos this year, but an event as monumental as this forces me to rethink that plan :/

Exeter is twined with the dam, so flights are pretty dam cheap. I believe we usually do a little shuttle service or similar from Exeter city yo the party place.

I try and go every year, but have failed to every year since 2005.

I know, broken record and all, but I left some key fobs with rc55 last year, so if you want some memorabilia besides a t-shirt bug him. :) He might be happy to sell the remainders. Just beware using it on your key ring, I think someone reported theirs broke, though they shouldn't. It's a keepsake at least.

okay it seems like im out of excuses this time around.

started planning a combined bike/train ride today. around 1300km of travel so far - should be doable in 10 days.

Still gutted about this. Isn't there any way to move the dates? Can I lodge a complaint with the Budleigh-Salterton town council? The Otter Sanctuary?

Probably won't be able to come, but having taken part many times before I'll quite possibly make a remote entry to mark the last Sundown :)

Yeah, will have to see. If I can avoid the plane that would be nice. I don't like flying to say the least.

you rather take the 0,000008% chance of drowning while on a ferry to the UK than the 0,000007% chance of dying in a plane crash? ;)

There are bustrips which go to London from Amsterdam - yep they take a long time but they get you there in the end :) Maybe see if you can hook up and join in with Topy - think he has traveled to the UK by bus before. A bus from London to Devon shouldn't be too expensive - though if you can get to London then check out which sceners are traveling over from there, hope Deathboy is one of those going (and he is based in London, I think).

Eurolines are the main service I can think of but be aware of the possibility of little or no sleep on their trips, due to the seats being quite uncomfortable.

It would be cool to see you at Sundown, so consider making the journey if you can afford it :)
