scene music stolen

category: music [glöplog]
I don't think this has been mentioned here and not sure how evil this is:
MONOMOOD - Scientist(YouTube)
Some of the visuals are taken from Chromosphere by SQNY. Especially notice someone/someones going by the name Aixelent getting credit for the visuals.

Yes that demo has a CreativeCommons license but under the following rules:
Attribution License - Must give credit to owner
No Derivative License - Not allowed to change the work in any way. Only exact copies are allowed
Non-Commercial License - Not allowed to make money out of it.

So I guess that video breaks the license?

Here's also a bunch no credit given. I think I noticed ASD, Quite and Digital Dynamite not getting credited. But this unknown AIXELENT gets credit.

Seems he rips a lot. Found "Lifeforce", "Finally Inside" and other stuff on his channel. Bet the other visuals are ripped as well.

Yea. Here he used a demo from farbrausch ("fr-074: 02:20").

thx! at least it's not awfully remixed, but credits overlay? & ads!? did you report that or you take it chilly?

it's really weird that he credits the music but not the visuals O_o

doesn't seem to be claiming himself has the creator of the visuals though, just failing to inform where they came from.

i heard substak (the musician) before, i even did a collaboration with him on a mixtape at some point.

Psenough, I asked him on one of the videos why does he not credit original sources and claims the visuals are just his, that message got removed.
I'd say he is falsely claiming when the video end with "visuals: aixelent".

Now if he's making money out of this with ads id say some people will not tolerate that and I can Linda understand but its up to the creator to take action IMO.

I've seen couple of more less grusome cases off YouTube using demoscene content but those have had either enough original work put into remixing or sources been well enough documented that I haven't cared to report about them here.

I personally don't care myself if someone steals and makes money off any demo content I've been part working on as long as I don't get legally wrongly flaged for it but other people involved with the production might not take it as lightly and may in some cases take action on it. To me art I take part in becomes everyones property but that's just my take on it and other associates may dissagree. And I can understand other people not taking this as lightly, therefor I try to report and a bit research any grusome ripoffs I stumble on.

Now if people are interested I can try to find again some of the less rip off users I've stubled upon on YouTube that use demoscene content in their videos. But most of them to me do well in a fair use mind....
