I don't see what the problem would be with ID software/Pixar demos - quite on the contrary, I'd like to see such stuff.
Ofcourse they have more time, people and experience available, but I definitely doubt it would demotivate teams - on the contrary, I think some more competition would result, which is a good thing. Especially since such demos wouldn't be released on parties. Which may be motivation for some more non-party releases again.

Stop boohooing and enjoy the demo. Or don't. Afri-cola is free to watch, non-intrusive, demo-style all over it, made by sceners...
If it smells, looks and tastes like shit, plus it was pooed, it probably is shit. Ok, the comparison may be a bit offensive, but you get the idea. :)
Anyway, the scene is not going to die because some demo dudes manage to make a commercial demo every now and then. Doomsayers suck!

I think that since FR obviously BETRAYED the scene with their EVIL KAPITALIST PRACTISE they should redeem themselves by bringing lots of free afri-cola to scene event!
