1x: out of curiosity - what have you used to generate mesh? Some plugin/noise modifier?
I was playing with it more than 5 years ago, here you can see some screenshot:

Profiling some code ...
@jix
It's modeled in sculptris (free version of zbrush). Then I refined the mesh in 3dsmax and broke it into animatable parts. Added a combination of displacement- and noise modifiers to get the stone-ish look. It's based on the "rock my world" script. :)

@sim; had several cabinets, but there is no building fun in buying one of those :)
This is a teaser for a demo.
quite teasing and pleasing :)
@SnC:
Whatkinda? D'ye have some cool, original PCB left?
Indeed, there is a great fun in building an own one...

I had Mortal Kombat 2, but moving it around was quite a hassle. After that I did build a tabletop myself, but wasn't satisfied with it, the casing was perfect, but I couldn't get a monitor that did with the front frame perfectly. I was gonna buy me a NeoGeo MVS machine, but my connection for aracdes somehow dissappeared.
The one I am building now it going for ultra portability, while still having the good ol' arcade feel. So light weight, portable, and who knows, if the money is for it, I might even put some extra tricks inthere.
Anyways, for the random wip shot, I just started working on this. Gonna see where it ends up.

COOL, little project! I am a quite big Arcade fan, so if you could drop me some WIP flips, perhaps by mail, I would be happy to follow.

You got mine on my webpage (click on my profile)...
I might be retarded, but there is only a skype-id there? :)
