Just watched Insurgent - not the best movie but... I wonder if any of the creators were inspired by Debris / Farbrausch. The Sim-scene at around 01:16 has a few similarities. A flying building, lots of Debris of course... and even the music is similar.
Might just be a coincidence though.

or just watch 'Dark City' from 1998

You are a scener if you watch Dark City for the first time and wonder "Wow? Wasn't that from lapsuus?".
Or when you are watching Evil Dead and you are like "Wow, that's exactly the same from that Rage PC demo!"

Also when I learn some news about the world or find interesting links, my friends are like "Where have you find that?" and it's mostly from Pouet oneliner of course.

The start of the Kung Fury scene (11:30+) where he lands in the "Viking age" after "hacking time" (hilarious) reminded me so much of elevated. Unbelieveable...
