Is there a tracker mod version of Pouet.net?
category: general [glöplog]
I imagine that would be "Nectarine Demoscene Radio" but I find that it seems to be mostly just a repository of information about mods, but not direct links to them, nor can any be selected directly like Spotify but they're put into a streaming playlist which is useless to me. Or do I have to register there to be able to select mods?
If not, are there some other sites (apart from Mod Archive which is awful) which has all the tracker mods ever made so I can explore new tracks?

There's a reason it's called Nectarine Demoscene RADIO ;)
But yes there's of course modland ftp://ftp.modland.com/ and AMP http://amp.dascene.net/
And from http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/search.php you can often download the mods (and other format type tunes) used in productions.

For a moment or two when I first saw the title I thought you were asking about pouet.net in module form (hey there's a compo idea, "encapsulate the spirit of pouet.net in a mod").
anyway check out modland, modules.pl, or amp.

You are welcome to submit download links for songs on Nectarine. The problem is that many download links on Nectarine were lost during the last big crash, hence many songs are missing links these days. Instead of complaining, you can be the person to help fixing this gap.
Thanks for the feedback, which part of it do you think needs to be improved?

The search engine, it barely works most of the time.
or someone should make a Spotify-like mod player called Modify on a bored afternoon!! based on the modland collection (which i think is most complete).
Foebane72: ModArchive doesn't search for arbitrary substrings by default, you can prepend a * to match substrings as well.

Sure, I'll be glad to do my part. :)
Demozoo has support for prods like songs.
ftp.modland.com suits my way of searching, helps if you know what you're looking for obviously, i know it has a rudimentary web interface but i just use the ftp side.
So no takers for capturing the essence of pouet.net in a .mod? Baahh ;-)
There used to be one, but Tomcat hasn't been really good at preserving shit like that.
Every few months I play with the thought of doing something similar, but then I think "oh not another fucking project".

And there I thought I could make music with something like Pouet, in .mod form.....aww.
In time, maybe Demozoo will have all that info.
