Just so you guys know I haven't been sitting on my ass this entire time. :)



There's one more to box up and another that's almost ready to box up. I think I should be able to send those out with the pictured ones, which I plan to do Wednesday morning. Apologies for taking this long for those I already received and thanks for your patience. Also, I don't feel the size of the box and how interesting the contents are correlate in any way. Hopefully they'll all be pretty interesting to the recipients. Oh, and flat boxes don't necessarily contain what you think they might contain. :) (Not that it would matter since I'm not going to tell you which ones are whose. :P)

There are still spots available for participating. I think I'll probably close this down toward the very end of March if all the spots aren't gone by then so make sure to get in before that.

I'm in - the fun of waiting a random amount of time for a box of random stuff is worth $8 alone :D

Writing from the post office parking lot ... I just shipped 7 packages. I've provided "tracking" info, but if it works at all it is only good until it heads out of the US. Sorry about that, but I don't know that I'd expect more from just $8. ;)

Should take 2 to 3 weeks, 4 at the most. If you don't receive it by then, send me an e-mail and I'll see what I can do. For now up to USPS and the various receiving country's customs offices.

There is one I didn't send today, but I believe I'll be able to send it later this week, sorry for the wait and thanks for your patience. As to those who just hopped in to participate, I will get them turned around soon. :)

As a note, if you want in on this I would do so before the end of March. It seems reasonable not to let it run forever since I don't think it'll sell out soon. Plus this thread will probably eventually sink in to the needs-a-necropost territory if I were to leave it up until it sold out naturally.

I'm also going to knock down the slots later today, unless they're all somehow bought by then, bringing the remaining available down to 8. The original total of 27 was a purposeful choice, but I already got quite a bit more interest than I figured I would and limiting the remaining will help make it easier to ensure people who participate get something interesting.

Well, here's hoping I'm at least as interesting as whatever you get from them. :) or at least worth the trouble of shipping it.

Three more mailed today. I'll send the official notices later today. The first eight packages have been sent, as well as two of the PayPal-based orders. There's one remaining to be sent, but he knows who he is. It'll go out soon.

Just a reminder, the "tracking" notices don't work. USPS seems to have dropped providing info for destination countries other than Canada at the rate I sent these packages. They used to show info until it left the country through New York or San Francisco. However, the numbers could still be useful as they're the customs form number that matches the one on the box itself. (If your customs/postal service doesn't claim they "lost" it.)

i am still waiting for your package and a package from Microsoft, but got my Firefox OS phone from Mozilla anyways to play with while waiting :P

Wow, that's pretty fast. I was going to say I just marked all those I sent today as mailed. Those that I mailed on Monday seem to have left the country, but I'm not entirely sure on that. (Using the tracking data for the one going to Canada.)

It'll get there. It may take a little bit if you don't pay for the fastest method with USPS, but I've not had them loose a package I've sent with them to Europe or otherwise. They're rather reliable. Heck I've even seen them repackage things where the packaging might have partially disintegrated moving the labels to ensure it reaches its destination. Don't worry though, I package mine quite well! :)

Damnit! and I even speak English as a first language. How the hell did I type "loose"? It's "lose", with one "o".

Oh, having thought of it, it would be nice to know when people receive their packages (actually in your hands, not stuck in customs if that happens). This is not a requirement. I'd just like to know so I can feel I took care of everyone. For those who would rather not do so publicly by e-mail is just fine. Finally as before, definitely send me a notice if it has been a long time and you think the package is lost. I've not had any issue with USPS so I'm not expecting any problems, just remember it could take two to three weeks.

I not only plan to tell you when it arrieves, but also make a silly video while i open the box and unveil it's misteries, so you shall be informed :P

Also to note to people just now seeing this (or saw it before), even though I have sent boxes off there are still eight left for grabs. I'll likely let this run until the end of March so you should hurry up if you want to participate!

I don't know if it matters to anyone, but the one I do have visibility in to just said it passed through ISC Los Angeles sorting center at 6am today. This is the last stop within the US on the west coast. I would think they should all be heading out to their destinations now. Some may have already passed through there before this as I have no insight in to any of the other boxes due to tracking being unsupported for the shipping method I used.

Unsupported except for one particular country, that is. :) Kinda silly, but that's why I'm using it to see how far things may have gone.

So the one box I have insight into seems to be almost there. :) I'm hoping everyone else I've sent so far gets some kind of notice by the end of this week, though it could also be early next week.

As to people who haven't yet participated, visit the first post and check it out. I still have a few spots left. I think I'll close it down before I leave for Revision, giving you fourteen days yet to get in on this. I have eight spots left.

Scratch that, being definitive here: I will close it down the night before I leave for Revision. You must get in before then if you want to participate.
