At first I thought it was a fad. But it's interesting. I always see it bright like the pouet background blue or dark blue/black when they darken colors.
I learned about this from xkcd and thought it was the typical illusion. But it's more than this, reminds me of this question whether the yellow I see is the yellow you see.
