Not entirely sure which era of the demoscene you are referring to, but regardless, I don't think everyone's personal 'golden era' of the demoscene is necessarily the same period.
Much like not everyone's favourite demoscene platform is necessarily the same, etc.

I see some agree with my post, most don't and some are just uncivilized. That was to be expected.
Frankly, I don't mind and I don't really care. I never coded a single line in my life beyond "10 print"hello world" 20 goto 10". Still, I love, admire and respect the art of demo since I've owned a Vic 20 back in the day. I love technology and the fantastic things you guys makes of it.
My intention was not to project "I'll just sit here on my lazy ass and dictate to everyone what the scene should be". If you took it that way and was actually somehow "hurt" by my post, maybe, just maybe, it is you that have some unresolved issues... I don't know, I'm no psychiatrist either.
The one thing I like, despite a rough start, is that my actual goal to discuss ideas is at least taking off a bit after 5 pages and 108 replies. Understand something: I can't contribute with code or direct realization (I'm no musician or graphic artist either) so I did my best to shoot ideas in all directions from my limited, personal perspective. Nothing more to it. Certainly no offense intended.
The suggestions I've put forward are not really important in and of themselves. What is important is what is coming out of this when all is said and done, in the hope it will "improve the scene", whatever what "improve the scene" means to you personally. Challenging conventions is often rich in creations. What convention did you challenged today? I did my part by making outlandish and borderline stupid suggestions! lol
I'll now let the "adults" take over a discussion that is obviously way above my amateur head! :)
