scene music stolen

dude, it's a very, very, very... VERY sad fake.
I think I'll go cry.
PS: I think it was 'cause of girls mainly. Yeah, loads of them.

Considering the, "high quality" melodic content in his "ZX demo", I kinda doubt that he made this, let alone in OctaMED. It's also not possible that he made this track with his AN1x in 1996, since that synth was first sold in 1997.
Why on earth would anyone want to pose as an oldskool scener? Do they think we won't notice the anachronisms?
the irony is, if each of his tweets (44500!!!!!) was just one z80 asm line, it would be one hell of a zx spectrum demo. ;)))
Streaming music competition at Revision 2013 was won by Hoffman. He participated with a track called Nobodys Bizniz which featured Savannah (his wife) on vocals.
Unfortunately its not his wife singing The vocals were stolen from a 1986 track Nobodys Business track by an artist called Billie.
Hoffmans track: https://www.scene.org/file.php?file=%2Fparties%2F2013%2Frevision13%2Fstreaming_music%2Fhoffman_savannah_-_nobody_s_bizniz.mp3&fileinfo
Billies original: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wg_63AFViJQ
Start the original at 2:22 and Hoffmans track at 0:32 and hear the similarities. Its exact the same vocal. Of course it has been time-streched and slightly modified to match the tempo.
Thats really ironic, actually. After all that big talk about GEMA, Hoffman is winning the compo with actually a remix of PRO-registered song ;)
I cant believe that no one noticed it before? It was quite popular song a little while back and it still gets remixed every now and then.

Where does it say Savannah sang on the track? She traditionally co-produces with Hoffman.
Also, the vocals were muted at competition time, from what I gather.

Yes, the compo version had no vocals except for the "let's go back back back back ..." bit.
AMcBain: I think you're confusing that with the tracked music entry (from which, indeed, some vocal tracks were removed IIRC).

From 3:12. May not be stolen, but certainly sounds familiar :)

Oh god that's pretty blatant :D
Maybe it was an homage?

Hahaha, what a shit song as well and that 21 year old reference really doesn't help it. Most fun was listening to the song and waiting what it would be :)
So thanks for not spoiling its a blatant rip of the popular demo!
Johann Sebastian Bach must be livid :)
Not music, but the graphics:

Ugh! Even the original soundtrack was better than that!by anni:

I think this kind of works, actually. Disregarding the overlaid 2d picture.
Songs 2, 3, and 7 on the same album are also stolen. It's quite possible the remaining songs are also not his own work, I just didn't recognize them.
Any chance of talking with the artist?
Any chance of talking with the artist?
Stolen from where?
I also don't believe song 1 from this album by the same artist is his own work either, but someone will have to verify that for me ... it may just be that the instruments sound very similar to another scene song I've heard before.
and finally, one of the songs I mentioned previously is also used on this album by the same artist.

Hang on, I'll try and find sources but they're definitely not his own work.
Do it fast, I already sent a mail to Bandcamp :D
In other news I have a feeling others might have gotten to him already: http://routenote.com/r/Neonspider/5054316072904#

Well okay, here's one at least: song 2 is Purple Motion's Satellite One.
Song 7 is Civilian by Reed.
