Just one level, but pretty good ideas for secrets, puzzles and boss mechanics. You can even play more times and discover more secrets or find the ones that need to use harder equipment to reach. I wish it was a complete game with five levels or something.

I found again this one I was searching again and couldn't remember the title (Knights of the Chalice). Pretty hard but good.

I just realized what I was missing. Needed a bit patience to get dragged into it. Also, at one point made me question "What's wrong with modern games?".
And I still haven't played System Shock or any other similar to this kind.
sshock (1 and 2) were really awesome and atmospheric at their time but sadly didn't age particularly well :(
Legend of Grimrick 2. I wanna say, much better than 1st, the world is so diverse, beach, underwater, castles, pyramid, cemetery. All interconnected, totally non linear, very good ideas, riddles with just right difficulty, many many secrets, two great endings. I was visiting two areas near the end of the game because I missed them or didn't know how to reach them, but in second replays I realize you could get into this areas early on, you can visit the unique places and finish their dungeons any order you want (some might need to solve riddles with specific item acquired from other area, but still). Great game design, besides awesome atmosphere, scary music, more classes, clever enemy AI. It's one of my favorites this year.

Yeah, it's true, Deus Ex graphics are so dated it's for laughs. Those lowres faces and character animations, haha. But thankful I was never the person who can be pushed away from a game because of it's graphics. I still love it as long as there is exploration and some 3d environment you can travel in anyway you wish.

Guess I'll need to try Legend of Grimrock 2 then. I really wanted to like the first game, but the main reason I still haven't bothered to finish it was the absolutely dreadful AI that made combat nothing but a tedious, trivial chore.
Similar to telltale adventures but I might like it more, it builds on that and maybe has more gameplay. Might take inspirations from donie darko, twin peaks and other, at least it has similar themes or gives atmosphere. I just love it so far, there are episodes though, have to wait.
Also The Crew looks beautiful if you want to drive drive drive forever.
Some of the level design on this one actually was so abstract that reminded me Kkrieger.
