For any youtube experts out there: is it better to upload 30 fps video, or upload 60 fps video and let YT adjust the framerate?
Also, I posted a new capture of Elements by Xography, as both the previous videos there have issues.

Youtube has alpha code supporting 60fps, so for future-proofing, I'd say 60. If you upload 60, YT drops every other frame with is what most people are doing anyway.
Afaik they do not support 50 fps though, which is a shame, since a lot of oldskool platforms have PAL output.
From what I could find, they support 24, 30 and 60 fps, but not 25 or 50 fps.

@enigma: thanks for the captures. however, you machine seems to be running faster than my machine back then :-)
also the squad by quad thing - the sound is a bit fucked. dunno why.

I looked into this and it seems that some demos introduce this crackles when played with a GUS 2.4. This doesn't happen with a GUS 3.7. However most of the demos play fine with the GUS 2.4. I have exchanged the GUSes now and may do a recapture of squad.
many thanks : First time I see this demo in years
A new capture of Squad is available which fixes the crackles. I used a GUS ACE now.
I also captured China/Kolor.

is it worth upscaling videos now that youtube supports 60fps @720p and @1080p?

Yes, lower resolutions don't get 60 fps on YouTube. So you need to supply at least 720p resolution to get a 60 fps video.
Does it always support 60fps or you need some premium account? Or maybe the video has to be small? I tried once to upload 720p 60fps, but it seems 30fps although I can't tell. But the video was big like more than one hour.
I should with a small video next. This one is actually more than 5 hours, lol
Here's another one I was thinking about:
Gods - Incoming Future
It's not a DOS demo, but it doesn't run under WINE or my (poorly-configured) XP Virtualbox machine and no capture seems to exist in the wild. Ideal setup is w95/98+3DFX.
It's also objectively not very good... but I liked it back in the day and wouldn't mind to see it again!
Going back a bit... Enigma, did you do anything special to get Flight to run? I was trying to screenshot it but can't seem to get it going on any of my systems.

^^ Should mention IFUT *does* have a software mode, but it was kind of ugly

There's a D3D patch, which still runs on most modern Windows installations afaik. I believe I ran it on my Win7 box a few years back.
