floppy music

category: general [glöplog]

hi guys,

i have a little question.

i have my old amiga and my 128d up and running.

I vaguely remember having a disc back in the days which played
floppy drive music on the amiga.

i browsed the tosec archive but coudn´t find anything. :/

Maybe you could help me on this ? Do you know any
discs that use this on the c64 / amiga ?

(i hope i dont kill my floppy drives :)

Thank you in advance

Yours cosmic ollie
Sing Song Serenade from 1985 worked on my 1541 drive, never tested it on my C128D.

It´s more of a C=64-thing iirc! ;) The drive may work on all platforms connectable to, but i think it wasn´t amiga!

Wrong! There were shitload of "floppy music" hacks for Amiga back in the day (TM) and a lot of coders, me included, coded a "torment the stepper motor and make music with the drive" routine at least once.

Yeah I remember a few different ones for amiga, i even tried one once but i stopped it quickly because i was scared i would break my A500 diskdrive :D

I have no idea where you would find them to download these days though.

I've also seen many youtube videos of the same thing running on other computers other than C64 and Amiga.
