What is FuckJs for people that live in caves? Is that a shoe thing or restriction to making demos without javascript?
i think its a javascript only demoparty with a strong focus on porn?

Didn't the FUCKJS demoparty already happen in 2010?

My guess: DemoJS is not just JS anymore. Anything goes.

Maybe it's time to move on to Dart?
Sponsored by brazzers?

I'm intrigued now!
Thanks for the interest!

p01 is right: this year, we will allow non-browser prods to enter compos ; they will be distinguished with an humoristic "FuckJs" label.
("Ok 1k compo is great, but I fuck Js, here is my C++ prod")

But don't worry if you want to release JS, DemoJs is still the demoparty to release it :D.

3 reasons for this "FucksJs" thing:
- All major demoparties provide a way to enter browser prods (Indeed browser has become comparable to more traditional PC platform, so this is not really a valid distinction, in one way or another)
- For JS-specific stuff, there are online competitions that do things better than us (eg: js1k)
- In our view, the main success/utility of DemoJs has been to create a friendly demoparty atmosphere in the heart of Paris, very open to newcomers (because it's free, easy to access, JS is less frightening that C64/Amiga for the newgeneration, ...)

We will explain this in details in the forthcoming website.

See you!

As usual, I'll be boozing around.
@knl: I will bring stout !

@flure: yep, that's your turn I'm afraid… could you actually go to Ninkasi and get me their hop lemonade, I'm actually wondering for MORE THAN A YEAR about the taste of it.
@knl: I will do it. Though I don't know their lemonade, I can tell you their beers, and especially their stout, are quite bad...

@flure: Sad but still, have to try the lemonade;

Website if finally online: DEMOJS.ORG

This year we are trying not to limit compos to javascript & browser technos. See it as an experiment in turning the concept from "a javascript-focused demoparty" to "a demoparty in Paris".

- JS prods are of course very very welcomed
- remote entries are very welcomed too :) remote@demojs.org
- compos are 1K/8K/64K/demo
- free entrance, and possibility to sleep at the party place
- conferences & concert to be announced soon
