This letter and response from a PC mag from 2011 are easily the funniest thing I've read when it comes to the whole platform vs. platform battle.

Pascal is for people who don't have balls and are afraid of C.

Pascal is for people with stamina to type a lot of begins and ends.

Pascal is for people who just need a nice IDE for assembler <--- DOS 16-bit asm coder

Why does it take Hungarian programmers so long to write their code?
Because they're so blind they can't C their monitors and they're so puny they can't exert enough Pascals on their keyboards to type!
