Holy Crab that was fun!
I don't know what you do but you make a damn good demoparty. It is my personal highlight of the year. Meeting all the sceners from around the world, having fun, drinking and dancing.
A huge thanks to d-fox, styx, madame and the whole team behind them for making this party what it is: Awesome!
A few special thanks to:
farfar and leia for the 5.8k run and faxe for motivating me
gita for the lobster costume
fen knows why
fuckings for moqui aka the cancelor
Day when dino (almost) die <3

We had a fantastic time overall at the party; certainly the food (while very good last year) was even better this year, so hats off to the individual companies responsible for the food vans for that. The currywurst (as per usual) and the schnitzel meal were excellent, alongside the pasta and pizza choices available. My wife and CiH's lady tried and enjoyed the crepes too as (my wife at least) missed out on those last year, even though she was fancying trying one.
We had a good journey over to and back from Saarbrucken and the UK - a little tip, if sceners are looking to bring their partners / wives etc with them - make sure you get there at least a day earlier, then you have the Thursday to either go shopping and maybe also do a bit of sightseeing too. Being from the UK, one retailer in particular whose store it was so welcome to visit in Saarbrucken was the C&A in the city centre. They pulled out of the retail market in the UK a number of years ago now, allegedly due to the likes of Primark taking away their core market - but both stores seem to be trading happily alongside each other in Saarbrucken, which is good to see :) My wife was happy as she got two very comfortable pairs of shoes at C&A so they as a result get a thumb up from us :)
It was great also to see the large number of musical acts taking place at Revision 2014 too and I hope this kind of thing continues. Excellent quality artists playing, such as Knoeki, gwEm, SaVannaH and Gasman, alongside a seriously excellent h0ffman vs Lug00ber set certainly made this party memorable in many ways.
The compos were good - sadly our overall tiredness meant that we missed the Amiga compo as we made our move to wait for the bus just as the 19th PC demo was starting. I understand the rumoured release from Black Lotus was rather well received ;)
Congratulations once again to all of the orgas responsible for the Revision demoparty over the years. This was our 2nd visit to Revision and I don't think for a moment that it'll be our last - so hope to see everyone again next year back in lovely Saarbrucken :)

The dead inside me is finally starting to subside so I can say a few words:
Most. Fucking. Awesome. Party.
Time just flew by, fastest four days, ever.
Thank you Havoc, you were irreplaceable with helping us with our hotel disarray.
Thank you all the organizers for making this party an instant classic.
Greetings to everyone I had or didn't have time to talk to. Special greetings to The Tunnel of Toilet, you are getting shorter every year!
Now me and the missus shall enjoy what remains of our flu. See yout in IRC and other parties!
This is Professor Aleksey Kurwanowich signing off

Well now, 1st post party workday is over and the real-life world still sort of feels like a freak-zoo I'm just a visitor of, the new GOT episode got watched and all dishes from the pre-party hosting are cleaned.
Time to roll out the thanks and appreciations.
Thanks to the "usual suspects" KeyJ, mog and ted and all my crewmates for being the splendid tablerow company they have become during the years and all the hard work and devotion put into our productions.
Charlie, Esau, Stingray, Dandee, Ramses, TFT, Nerdine, StreeTuff and all the folks I had short, long funny and deep chats with over beer, schnaps, Tequila Sunrise, pizza and currywurst.
Corial and Bstrr for being awesome competitors and friends in personal union; " KaLeun" Puryx and "I. WO" Dwarf for torpedoing me with Pepperschnaps outside Denmark ... I'll find a way to pay you back :D
Sly42 for being again a great tag-team partner in the bass-delivering business; Havoc and Numtek for being ace go-to guys regarding the 2nd stage scheduling.
Lug00ber & h0ffman for being utter mentalists and re-creating the Hacienda'ish atmosphere during the first half of their gig, having me cutting shapes like a nutter.
Bummed out, that I missed the Protracker Seminar, mate, but I had a rough night, pissing mnemonics and delivering the entry -- watching the recording was hysterical.
K.w.e. for attending a party after 14 years and releasing a demo ( I'll get to the modules as soon as the Amiga is set up again this week).
And, by the old gods and the new, DFox, Styx and the whole organising gang to pull up an event of such magnitude -- stellar performance, that is !
The Pizza stand was yummy-good for a reasonable price -- keep 'em.
The shower container was way better than earlier years, although it missed some hooks for the dropped pants.
Herrschaften, es war mir ein Parteitag !

*insert yet another raving rant of endorsement*
If I had to pick out a definite highlight, I'll have to mention the spontaneous Gasman gig in the outdoor area during the last night :)

Alpha C: singing along with EoD the 2nd night was pretty ace, too :D
that's pretty high up my list indeed :)
Proof of awesomeness:
What a wonderful party, thank a lot to all the people involved in the organization of this SUPERGALACTIC weekend \:D/
I met a lot of good very old / old / recent / new friends, sadly missed some, successfully released my first Commodore 64 prod (big thanks to the LNX family who helped me a lot by lending me a machine during the party!), eated several kurrywurstemitpomes / popcorn / whooper, never bought a beer but drinked a lot because everybody offered me one without asking, drinked a lot of the great free coffee (it's a party must!), have seen great gigs, great seminars, and a very nice demo show!
I of course will be there next year, and I hope to bring more release to enter more competition :D

Well that was amazing! The organizing, the food, the compo entries, the concerts - and ofcourse all the awesome people attending..thank you all! Time to die a few days, then get ready for Solskogen :)
A generally warm shock to this tired old demo brain :-)
Agree with pretty much all of the above. Not really able to add any further worthwhile thoughts as bleh, cannot even finish this sentence.
But one event that I found strangely compelling was the live coding compo. Such fast keyboard wowness, many tasty things on screen. That is one to definitely repeat, maybe expand further. An oldschool version perhaps? A finished demo made up from the component parts?

The best easter ever! The food was superb this year. I might have fried my brain a bit, but I'm the one to blame for that :P
Now it is time for postpartydepression and be dead for a week.
Seriously; best of Revision: 2014 \o/

schååååål!
What an incredible party yet again! Time sure flies when you're having fun with fellow sceners from around the world. It was a great pleasure to finally meet dstar from Greece, hang out with my titan groupmates and enjoy the competitions with all of you.
h0ffman's and lug00ber's DJ battle on the main stage was nothing short of amazing, masters at what they do, they just know how to get everyone on their feet and dance. And all the other DJ's were awesome too, tho not all of the music was to my liking.
All of the organizers were super friendly and helpful even when we had late issues with our competition entry on sunday. A big THUMB UP goes to moqui for the free beer giveaway to promote other demoparties, that was a a very nice gesture.
Lastly thank you to everyone I had the chance to talk to at Revision this year and apologies to anyone who I might have forgotten to chat up. Will definitely be going again next year!

Absolutely no way of making a list this time, would miss any minus-entries! ;)
Orgas:
After last year i thought its almost impossible to make a better party, but you topped it once again!
The Food was awesome, everything tasted really really good. :)
I really hope you continue giving us such a blast every year, thanks a lot for everything! ♥
Compos:
I spent several tears of joy in different compos...so many bars raised once again on so many machines and levels.
The new Compos, being 8k and the LiveCoding were superb, you need to keep them for sure! After 4k was invented once to be the competition for coders only, (with rules like "no music", to keep it a coder-only-copmpo next to the music/graphic-compos for musicians/graphicians) these both are atleast giving us more opportunities once again to show off. especially the livecoding is coders-only and i´d like to participate next year, put me on the list already! ;)
People:
I met many people i always wanted to talk to, like mentor and hellfire, both of which let me put em full of my text, eventho i was heavily drunk as always on parties. ;)
Had superb conversations once again, even with complete strangers, two of em which i even didnt manage to keep their names in my brain, i´m sorry, alcohol is a hell of a drug, you know! ;) (i remember your faces and will talk to you again for sure at one of the future parties!)
Personal special thanks have to go out to several people in no order:
Elko/TRSi for driving me to the party and
Doc.K/Moods Plateau for driving me back, both without asking for petrol-costs.
Ddeml/Bitpopler for lending me the entrance-ticket.
5711 for the nice Kölsch.
tengo for many beers and food.
I came with 8,-€ in my pockets and partied like everyone else, all thanks to you! ♥
The best party ever is over and i hope it continues to be as kewl as was the next easterparties!
Hope to meet the most of you all again at Evoke, which is almost as good as Revision in my eyes, maybe a bit less bombastic! ;)

I think I asked at the party on IRC but got a response of "Why would you want that?" and "Can't you get it from the invite?" but will the jingles be released again?
JCO released the jingles from 2012 and Puyrx released 2013's.
The reason for asking is the jingles tend to be a slice from the invite soundtrack to even a slightly different mix. The invite from this year has a quick voiceover not present in the jingle at the start of the Rebel Scene Alliance part, which is the part of the jingle I'm interested in from this year (of course!). However some people may be interested in all of them (including the short one played before calling people to the info desk) for various reasons.
Seeing as the invite credits lug00ber with the [awesome] sountrack, I'm guessing it's up to him whether we'll get a chance at a download of a copy of the jingles?
Is there anything we can do to entice/bribe him? ;)

I guess we're doing this thing again..
Great party, as always. Personal highlights:
Kb trying to announce something, getting the jingle played on top of himself, going "oh, right, jingle".
Dinos first reaction to the announcement of his death ("noooooooooooo").
Scouting the 5k route with Farfar.
Walking through the route Saturday morning before the run to see if the signs were up, finding the sign on the bottom of a tree that said "Go up".
Monday morning Dwarf reactions.
AMcBain bringing me Game of Thrones beer all the way from the States.
Truck, Franky and Little Bitchard providing other kinds of beer than boring, light, german beer.
Bonkers reacting to the pizza chef.
The Tuloupatcher discussion.
Everything DUB.
Getting home and mistyping my wifipassword as "kewlerssocks" instead of what it should be..

Right,so prior to the party I was certain that it was my last German Easterparty, but after this experience I once again have to reconsider this stupid decision (did that already after BP 10).
I have never socialized so much before, and I have never actually been on the dancefloor in front of the stage before, but fucking hell that Norwegian/English performance was awesome!
Big thanks to dodge,novel,dirtie,esau,dalton,wasp,deadguy,k.w.e,bonefish + too many Danes to mention for being simply awesome. My guess is that I'm back next year afterall :D
Oh,did I mention that this was awesome?!

After missing last year's Revision, this Easter was a really great experience. I just would like to thank everyone who is or has been involved with the party. I know (or can imagine) what's behind and it makes me very grateful. You guys and girls are AWESOME!
I feel I should tell the back story to the outside gig, since it might not have been apparent to everyone just *how* spontaneous it was...
As everyone was heading out after the compos, a few people independently asked if my original planned second-stage gig was still going ahead - including Draugven (who missted the Friday night set because she was on duty on the infodesk) and a group consisting of v3nom, mog and a few others (I forget exactly who... Tomoya? Saga_Musix? Alpha C? Maali?) who took to following me round chanting "ILLEGAL RAVE! ILLEGAL RAVE! IN THE TUNNEL! IN THE TUNNEL!". This planted the idea in my head that I could - theoretically - run all of my stuff off laptop battery power. Except I didn't have any speakers, which kind of killed off that idea.
Meanwhile, awesomeness was happening outside. M0d had set up his micro projector to play some demos, and then in a real life version of the Stone Soup story, people started bringing out extra bits of kit to add to the setup, with no kind of central organisation (as far as I could see)... first AttentionWhore with their sound system, then someone else with a full-size projector. Within the space of about 5 minutes, every possible reason *not* to play a live set had been eliminated, and so I went "ah, what the hell" and rushed back to the backstage to grab my keytar (along with whatever cables I could scavenge from the oldskool compo recording desk), half dazed and muttering to myself "I can't believe I'm doing this".
The whole thing happened because of a load of people individually having an idea to make things better, and running with it. Well, that and a couple of well-placed miracles: the fact that at the moment I plugged my gear in, the demo playlist was playing the single most perfect demo to jam along to with vocoder and guitar while LB was standing right behind me. And the fact that my Macbook never came crashing to the ground at any point, even though on about 5 occasions I looked up from some violent keytar thrashing to see it teetering on the edge of the crate. As I said during the PC compo, when the Cocoon demo ran first time on the bigscreen after crashing 75% of the time in test runs: there is a god, and he likes demos.

The happy carnivores from Finland request a DÖNER TRUCK in the food stands for next year if possible. Would be much appreciated!

Yeah, that was a super rough week, but goddamn worth it once again! Got sick during buildup, thought i was better, but secretly was still sick which caused my saturday demise. Luckily Moqui was an awesome co-host and took over without anyone really noticing :)
Thanks to all of you who rocked the shit out of revision once again. Some quick random highlights or for me:
- Being comforted by orgos during my thursday hosting crisis and actually having the opening ceremony work out because everyone is awesome (thanks DocD and Losso!)
- Gasman being insecure if he could take over the mainstage spot from Men of Mega on Friday and then just straight up murdering the stage.
- Live coding coming together so well with everyone involved. Big, big up to the dudes stepping up to the stage to code, I could literally taste the pressure!
- DUB Awards and everyting the Danes did
- My Poo-brain bros
- Meeting Tomoya and Will the american and pOwl being back! (and many, many other great people, i love all of yall!)
- Kiero telling Emoon how much he appreciated his work from the past years and how genuinely happy Elude was to see TBL back. That's goddamn demoscene sportsmanship, but now the game is on sons :)
