category: parties [glöplog]
Best Revision so far, nuff said.
awesome party just got home :)
Resurrection in progress, will comment further when complete ;)
That was fun! That was my second year as an orgo and the first time I arrived on tuesday. I'm happy as well with the Outline invitation and alle the solid acts that played. Thank you all and I hope to see y'all at Outline!
what an excellent party!! without going into too much details, it was great to see some old friends, and make a new ones.
we've arrived late tonight, so I'm still recovering from sleep deprivation (and some other stuff - see below).
while we're at it, few late infos to the (un)fortunate few that found themselves close to our table on saturday+sunday evenings:
----
Rakija is the most popular spirit in Croatia.
The alcohol content of rakija is normally 40% ABV, but home-produced rakia can be stronger (typically 50% to 60%).
It is supposed to be drunk from special small glasses which hold from 0.03 to 0.05 L. (heheheheheheeee)
Rakija is that ace in the sleeve, that secret weapon against all that is enemy to common man. It will destroy bacteria, relieve you of stomach and muscle pain, annihilate any virus and disinfect a wound instantly. In fact, it used to be called «aqua vitae». Other than its evident medicinal use, it goes down extremely well in any possible occasion. Whether you just woke up out of a coma or are about to roller-skate on a freeway – Rakija is there to enhance the experience.
Medica is one of the most popular varieties in Croatia. It is specific to Istria but quite renowned throughout the entire country as it spread quickly due to its sweet taste and a mass followship. It's Rakija made out of honey and spiced with propolis.
Medica is a devil in disguise. It's sweet, flows smoothly, and once you get going you don’t really stop until it’s too late. It has a certain jet lag effect as it can kick you in the ass long after you had your last one. It’s probably the closest Rakija to a liqueur due to its sweetness but is still miles away from any actual liqueur. However, if you run across a Medica, approach it with caution, drink it wisely and be sure it’s from Istria, that’s where the best stuff comes from.

p.s. not to worry, there is more from where it came from. ;)))

On the sofa - real sceners sofascene after the party ;)
Too much stuff to get it all written down in my current state
I had a blast once again, and this year provided me with new personal highlights as well as gems in the compos.
It's been said a gazillion times before, but: please do not stop organizing this party - it's a platform for so much awesomness!

Thanks to the orgas and visitors of Revision 2014. I enjoyed every bit of this awesome event. It was really nice to get to know a lot of sceners I didn't met before in person and to see others again. Here are my personal favorites of the party:
+ Free tea. Drank A LOT of it.
+ Vegan meals. Thanks to metoikos for organizing this. All of them were really delicious.
+ AWESOME dj-set by lug00ber & h0ffman.
+ Free »Kölsch vom Fass«, thanks to tobi.
+ The Live-coding-compo was really nice.
+ Winning the animation compo! (thanks to all who voted for me)
Looking forward to meet you all again at Evoke in august.

By the way: Why was the wifi not encrypted this year? Seemed like a weird choice...
Oh, and: This year's t-shirts are awesome! :) Slowly getting to the same level of awesome as the Evoke shirts.

It's probably why it worked so well. This is completely a guess but I imagine with that amount of users, the encryption places too much strain on the access points.
Anyhoo, thanks a million to the organizers for yet another awesome party! I honestly run out of imagination trying to figure out how to improve the party. You are spoiling us! I spent half of the party whining about the fucking hotel room..
Greetz to everyone I met, you are at least 50% responsible too for making the party so awesome.
Quick spam: My streaming music track with a short writeup about Revision 2014 is available on my website.
I enjoyed the party very well!! Enjoyed the competitions and concerts and also went to the break beats seminar. It's good to make new friends! And have fun!
Oh-yeah! We also had very good weather!

Another set of pictures from Revision 2014!
Wow, these are great pictures!
Thank you gaspode! :-) I regret I didn't take more (like I did the previous year), but this time I decided to focus more on the party itself than documenting. Will do better in 2015, I promise! :)

Perfect party was perfect. Thank you very much for everything.
Complaining about free popcorn…
Yeah, fantastic party, really enjoyed it, and seemed to run really smoothly! Everything seemed even more chilled than last year too (perhaps because Evilbot was taking a break!) and it was a really nice weekend. It was great to see some new compo formats being tried out, and I think they all worked well (and hopefully I'll attempt the 5K next year!) Also, finally managing to finish an entry before the deadline and getting such positive feedback about the demo made it my best Revision so far! :)
Catering was good again this year, it seemed they were open earlier and later than last year which was a definite bonus for people who didn't have breakfast at the hotel! A little disappointed that the crepe place ran out of cheese before I got to try to a savoury crepe, but I guess I should have tried one sooner!
And finally, the music! Wow! So much awesome! Thanks to everyone for all their sets. You made an already great party even better. :)

Oh, and the popcorn guys. They do such a fantastic job every year! Thanks so much for being so kind and generous! :)
