Psychedelic Drugs
category: offtopic [glöplog]
Here, some books from my personal library.
Yeah, bad photos. I know.
I have dozens of books about this subject (even a big and very technical monography about neuroscience that required a few months to digest properly) but these pair are ideal to you.
An easy to read book to learn about the brain, drugs and more...
Messengers of Paradise (C. F. Levinthal)
http://www.amazon.com/Messengers-Paradise-Opiates-Brain-Uncertainty/dp/0385240678
And a great science fiction novel that you will find, I hope, very interesting...
The Futurological Congress (Stanislaw Lem)
http://www.amazon.com/The-Futurological-Congress-Memoirs-Tichy/dp/0156340402
I also recommend go walking to your not-so-near-bookstore instead of download it. And if you see some girl on the way, smile to her saying "nice day, isn't?". Even if is raining.
And remember that you are perfect the way you are.
Some books can change the brain in a similar way that thinking and experience do.
Some drugs can change the brain in a similar way that a hammer or a lobotomy could do.
You are a brain. You decide.

Maybe I should just stop visiting pouet.
Yep, if people give you advice you not like, just ignore them and walk away. It's not like people are trying to help or anything..
*you don't like, even
optimus: Ham and i discussed your case, and we agreed that you should do yoga:
a) it helps you getting fit
b) it helps you to meet females
c) it helps you connecting with your inner essence and it's healthier than drugs
d) it helps you gaining confidence over your body and personality
i'll send you our bill later, gonna cost you probably around $50.

@Maali: that's quite a bargain deal, considering what the yoga schools cost...
Optimus:
when you're talking about "you" and "your ego" and such things it would help to have a basic understanding of what is what. Modern psychology is screwed up by what John Anthony West is calling the "Church of Progress".
I, for one, resolved that in order to understand the world and yourself a little bit better it's vital to become symbol-literate again -- because most people are not.
A great teacher on this issue was René Adolphe Schwaller de Lubicz and his lesson Esoterism and Symbol.
Mind you, this is hard stuff to read and wrap your brains around; not some "The Secret" like Space Star Ordering bollocks, but a down to the bone esoteric tuition about "life, the universe and everything" (e.g. 42).
And in the esoteric approach lies one simple truth:
If you cannot get your "house in order" first (meaning your body and everyday life, "Earth") you don't even need to try to step up the ladder of elements and master intellect, emotions/intuition and finally life itself. That's the reason most popular esoteric stuff fails on the western impatience to reach the goal w/o walking the way.

I think maali's just charging for the advice. He missed the point tho that sitting up at the back of the room in a room full of fit young ladies doing yoga in yoga pants is worth the fees on its own!
Bring extra-clothes, Optimus! ;) Your pants will be full of Cum every 5 minutes!
This is what i call drug-prevention: Just mention TNA and nobody talks about psychedelic drugs anymore. Yay ;)
