Gargaj - 'aight, I'll look at adding a mode for "whatever(!) the desktop resolution is" (likely still rendering at 1080p internally...)... no promises though ;)

Don't spend time on something that might not even happen instead of something that you should be spending time on ;)
"Come to NVScene - we have psycho donuts!"
Thanks Andrew!
Thanks Andrew!
I can confirm they are as delicious as they are insane.

actually scrap that: the schedule is only 2 clicks away.
Note that this is all PST time (GMT-8).

http://nv.scene.org/2014/live starting in a few hours.
In the meantime, GTC keynote starting soon here: http://www.gputechconf.com/page/live-stream-source1.html
why doesn't schedule auto-recalculate into my browser local time anymore? it was very convenient!
Sorry, bug. Fixed now.
thanks!
Watching the Fluid Dynamics seminar.
Not very fluid stream though. :D

Cracked me up pretty good, thanks! :)
Apologies for the stream hickups. The reason is as much of a luxury problem as humanly possible: we're streaming via Wi-Fi and the room is packed.
From Ustream to each viewer it should be sufficient capacity, so the problem is from our capture device to the Ustream backend.
Important: the compos will be shown in the Keynote hall here at GTC (!) which has dedicated Ustream equipment - so expect those streams to be smoother!

So to reiterate: same URL (http://nv.scene.org/2014/live) but different equipment. The session streams are a "best-effort" (which involved getting a ride from micksam7 around the greater San Jose area to visit audio stores and such to find really esoteric gear to get line audio :) - thanks for that man.
No need to apologize! The stream is good enough (with just occasional pauses) and knowing that compos will be streamed with better equipment made a sofa-scener like me very happy.
Thanks!
Thanks!
much appreciated here by another sofa scener here.. literally sat in my armchair, practicing guitar waiting to unmute the stream when the seminar kicks off :)
one of the seminars i wanted to see up next (9pm uk time)
Seminar: Technical history lesson: Demo effects on the classic Amiga - Aske Simon Christensen (Blueberry / Loonies)
shame the smash one is up at midnight UK time.. i'll have to catch that on a download

Okay, it looks like we might be able to offer a better stream ("located" an "unused" computer, "found" a wired LAN connection, borrowed a DSLR from lovely lovely Dotwaffle, getting help from the wonderful Micksam7) -- so hang tight!
Gloom: will the android and pc demo compo be delayed ? Than i can watch the better stream at breakfast instead of 03:30 am ;-)
the pc demo compo was already "delayed" till tomorrow, afaik.
I've heard Big Bopper will release Android demo at NVScene... . What a coincident.. Can't wait ;]
