And incidentally, they even wrote the same songs!
Excellent work, Saga Musix.
Good sleuthing, Saga! My favorite piece of evidence:
If you're uploading .mods you claim to have written, why do they have the other guy's contact info in them? Poser.

If he already was aware of Robert stealing his identity since his early internet days, why did Jared not take care of clearing Robert's contact information from "his" very own modules that made its way in there? That's correct, even the AMP version of said modules contain e-mail addresses like st56g@jetson.uh.edu (an old student account at the University of Houston — Robert has proof that he studied at this university, but there's no proof that he owned this address — Jared, on the other hand, was about 30 years old at this point) and rob@blkbox.com as well as Robert's old phone number!

Why the f&%k would you simply write in your own name into a module!! I felt bad enough loading up a module, clearing all the pattern data and writing a tune using all the samples.
Well, that's not even what he did - none of these modules contained realnames, just the handle "Timelord". And both guys are from Houston, Texas - made made it "somewhat easy" to claim ownership... Still a despicable thing to do. However, there have been plenty of other rippers actually taking existing modules and putting their name on them...
Has anyone seen this before?

All I could find was this post, but apparently that one has been taken down.

It appears to be based upon http://keygenmusic.net/

It's just an arpeggiated chord sequence. Pretty standard stuff. I'm sure some guy in the 16th century would have a copyright over it :)
Saga Musix's article about identifying the real owner of the 23 Timelord sound modules is interesting and displays appreciated thoroughness.
Also linked on the previous page. ;)
Hi-lite/TRSi are yelling on facebook over some tune that laxical/scoopex ripped of 20 yeras ago. Laxical ripping stuff rings a bell somewhere in my memory.
Oh... Laxical... again! :)
dubmood: some of it was mentioned earlier
The song hi-lite claims laxical to have ripped is dated laxical / scoopex 1994. hi-lites track has no date. funny if its true and we get some drama over a 20 year old rip

ghettoscene, alive and kicking.
wat.
double wat.
Maybe this is a demo written on a little-known Spectrum clone with 80 column attributes and a soundchip that sounds nothing like an AY and released at a party that has no other references on the internet, and it's purely a coincidence that it looks like a PC textmode demo with the real credits cut out and replaced by some video overlays in the wrong resolution.
Either that, or it's a faker trying to pose as a Spectrum demoscener. For all the fame, money and girls, presumably.
Anyone recognise it?

Oh that was the second link. Eitherway it's kinda confusing. Why would anyone pose like that?
the blinking "I'M SMART" text is what really makes it.
