Any ETA on more information of the event? We are thinking about doing a GDC + NVscene trip, and details would be nice to start buying flight tickets, reserve hotels, etc...

shash: you're not alone :) If you need info immediately, send me a mail and I'll help you out. In terms of publicly available, we hope to have the new website up within a week. It will contain most of what's being asked for (compos, preliminary schedule, travel info etc.)

gloom: It's fine, we are booking any way, as it's a nice trip, keeping in mind the GDC and NVScene dates :)

I'm coming! \o/ Just got the email saying the I was selected as one of the speakers! Thanks everybody, it's gonna be a great party!

I'm planning to stay from around 22nd to 29th or 30th, depending what's convenient for the ticket bookers + CouchSurfing etc. options around the area, but of course it's a chance to stay a few days longer :)

I've got no tickets to GDC so sadly not going ;/

On MC3 you can see videos of most of the talks of NVScene 2008. I will not be doing that this year, so please make sure someone takes on that task.

Organizers of NVSCene should seriously create a homepage ASAP with the most important information. From the survey at scene.org I was able to find out, the two platforms will be Android and PC.
The people need enough time to create their releases knowing the compo rules and prizes. Anybody could share some of this info?

Btw, anybody knows, if it's possible to buy Shield in Europe?

I second Archee.. already asked for that about a month ago.. Why the non-transparancy and lack of information flow towards the scene ? Whats going on Gloom? ;-)

Received my Shield today, thanks :)

i hope gloom is doing it just to ruin magic's day! jesus christ man, you're not even going, you harassing cunt.
If they post the compo details a week before the compo, how would people have time to design their entries if they also have to work, and to buy the tickets before they are expensive?
There isn't as much hype like in 2008, it feels like there will be few entries, and maybe few visitors too.

maybe they should give out some more hardware?

hw gotted

I have booked hotel and flight based on information extracted from emails, tweets and this thread. I am staying in the area Mar 26 through the 30th.

I am not sure if my entry fits the rules, but it does execute and run on the thing. I'm just glad there is another US demoparty to go to.
Maali: some compo rules, compo machine information, deadline for remote entries etc.. are usually also on a party website.. (yes we plan a remote entry again just like in 2008)
now go make some cunt demo about it you old troll you.. ;-)

Archee: I got the same feeling as you just discribed.... Perhaps not many top sceners from europe are flown in this time to ?

I have one prod all finished but I'm thinking about Revision.

So... I'd like to know which of the 3 days of the event to request off work, but there does not yet seem to be any info posted about which activities happen on which day. Could we get those details soon please?

NVScene is 25-26-27; compos and seminars will happen on day 1 and 2, prizegiving on the last.
added on the 2014-02-06 21:40:35 by Gargaj Gargaj
Forcer: yes, remote entries are accepted (as there are at most parties) - deadlines are TBA.

Unfortunately, Gargaj didn't share some info on the compos.
What hardwares?
How fast are they?
What platform?
What entry sizes?
