Of course, Pouet's functionality set has evolved to support the Pouet culture (and, of course, hand-in-hand a culture has evolved that can work with the functionality). What is really asked here is, to change the culture together with the functionality, and basically to change the community's dynamics. It's not a small thing to ask, and it's certainly not a technical "feature".

No, I meant, read stuff automatically from where it is already available. Like Nectarine or from the files themselves. I don't believe in boiling the ocean schemes.

I suppose it could actually be possible to scan files for that kind of stuff. I'll talk about it with the others.

Saga Musix: maybe I should have added, these features aren't there _yet_, but they don't really even have to be. If the OP wants a place to start adding his scene music releases in a somewhat Pouet-like fashion quickly, then out of the currently existing sites Demozoo looks like the best place to do it. It doesn't have a lot of music-specific features _yet_ though. But what are the options? Taking reality into account, I wouldn't bet on Pouet adding music-only releases anytime soon, so -> on to Demozoo.

yzi: well, I'm not saying that we should have these features specifically for this purpose, but we already automatically extract graphics compo entries, so why not do the same kind of processing for music files as well? It's a valid option.

music disks, diskmags, artpacks and the like are hardly competitive at party compos due to the less-than X minutes limit, thus pouet as a compo makes still sense (sort of, I see it more like a commented archive)
