category: parties [glöplog]
Well. even if no official invite has been released yet..
I'm planning my trip. flight to Saarbrücken directly. is it hard to get from the airport to the partyplace? or is it a 500EUR taxitrip? :)

Quote:
From Saarbrücken and Zweibrücken you can reach the party location by public transport (see airport websites or www.bahn.de)
Beware, public transport (busses) from the airport is cheap (2-3€) but rather shitty, esp. On weekends and holidays (like easter for example). Shitty means departing every two hours or so. So be sure to check the shedule beforehand.
Will prolly go with the FlowerSFX guys and try to bring a oniichaNj aswell
This year the cab was 32€, including 2 hotel stops on the way.
i'll go by U-boat!
Time to barricade the Saar-river !
I heard bittin will come by ferry
I'll come by hot air balloon!
I'm boring: No plan in stone yet, but hoping next year to land in Frankfurt and take the train in. No stop one-leg international flight? Yes please! :)
This year I flew the convoluted route of landing in Luxembourg and taking a bus in to town. I got to see Amsterdam again ... from the inside of an airport.
Can't wait for "Revision 2014: The Official Thread". (Along with Revision: The T-shirt, Revision: The Lunchbox, Revision: The Coloring Book, and Revision: The Flame Thrower.) ;)

I'll come by SAUFBUS!
UK Sceners check in here: http://ukdemoscene.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=376
We have long since acquired ourselves electronic codes that can and will be exchanged for a passage in a big flying metal bird. See you there!
I think I’ll be there as well. That party sounds so great :)
Eating everything that makes farts helps! Me kept eating pure garlic, i am almost in Saarbrooklyn by now ;) Took me only 42 days to travel 42km by fart [/barti]
In other news: NEW World Record in travelling a distance of Marathon by Fart! -> add hyperfartlink here! [/gargaj]

Meanwhile .. on... facebook....
empty? i has time to fill that sheet!
Hoping to be there again in 2014 as the first, with CiH and my wife in 2013, was fantastic :)
We'll probably drive over again from UK to Saarbrucken, it's a long but good road. Planning also to be there maybe a day earlier than 2013 so we get time to visit the city when it is open for business and check out the wonderful museums and stores within Saarbrucken itself.

Felice, just out of curiosity, what did that end up costing in petrol and tolls? I hadn't considered driving before, but it might be a viable option :)
oh hey, I did some level adjustment on that image and I think I got something
Raizor,
I think it maybe cost us about two tanks of fuel either way, even on the 1.4 litre car that we were traveling in at the time. Besides, if you're based in the UK, you'll want to fill up with all the lovely cheap beer and other stuff available on the Eurotunnel Calais side compared to the prices charged in the UK for the exact same items.
Tolls, well, we didn't hit any of those at all, largely because I programmed my satnav to avoid them ;) Whilst the route probably isn't the most direct, it took us up through northeastern France and into Belgium, over towards Brussels and then heading towards Luxembourg on the way to Saarbrucken. It is a good and interesting road however, even despite the long hours driving.
Hope this helps.
