panic: i agree he should apologize for any wrong doings regardless of any "excuses" behind it.

xtr1m, you're dead on, he now has the opportunity to make such steps. but why rush? the way i see it, his journey to independence has kicked into gear, but at this point noone can foresee where it will take him. from what i've learned in supporting a girlfriend who came from a somewhat similar background i know these things can take a lot of time, and people can come out differently than you expected beforehand (i'm single again so guess what happened there ;)). let's wait a year or two and see what kind of claus emerges, maybe he'll be worse than before maybe better, but at least it'll be a lot closer to the real one and only then any apology could have real longterm value, imho
