Well you can even choose those funky flickering hires modes in Workbench... But I suppose you mean undocumented ones? Pretty interesting topic.

No, there are no hacks on the Amiga. It was scientifically proven by prof. Rudolf von Haxorsdorfburger in his famous article "Hacking considered harmful".

well, most of the resolutions to "hack" the "border" can be achived legaly by just setting the right bits in the right custom registers -- overscan, that is.

I always thought it was cool that you could reposition and/or reload sprite data on the current scanline. Multiplexing to the extreme!
