Again, this is thread is about first demos + first demo parties in history, not personal experiences. :)
@Saga: Yeah, you're right. But interesting how the thread develops. :)

Browsing around this thread led me to this:
Quote:
Our visitors got themselves written permission from their parents or faked those, to be able to ride alone in the train or bus to the party.
Don't be surprised - the average sceners' age back then was between 12 and 16.
Lol

there was an article in the german gamer's mag ASM in ...probably early 1988. the journalist wanted to attend a copy party and wondered about the kind of software that was swapped. intros and demos.

First demo surely happened when somebody decided to use a computer to draw a penis instead of using it for doing boring accounting computations.

off topic, however the truth Once, when I was a child I dreamed about old peoples sitting on long tables infront of big tube monitors and futuristic looking grey and white typing machines I never had seen before. In 2010 or so, I had this dream again but it was about midaged peoples sitting on long tables with tiny screens on it and funny still perfect running prehistoric hardware. But anyway, when I was a very little child I created one realtime demo a day before falling into sleep. Definitly no 8 Bit versions. Maybe an alien demosceaner hacked into my brain for coding some things on retarded hardware. Anyone else got visited? back to reality :)
