Potcfdk: there is no complete track for the endpart yet. I didn't get to do it before revision. I'll consider to do a full version once I have recovered fully from the party :)

THANK YOU and congratulations to the organizers for making Revision 2013 yet another successful party! I'm amazed how smooth you manage to run things overall despite the event having such many moving parts.

Also thank you for a chance to play some records. You see, I haven't been on a gig for a while and.. Well, in the music scene it's really easy to get jaded and distant and to start hating everything. Seeing people on the dancefloor felt good and inspiring and made me want to get back into this dance music thing once again. So, everyone on the dance floor, everyone nodding their heads to the rhythm at their computer, everyone listening to the (unintentionally) monographic stream.. I love you all.

Knoeki, you were a worthy opponent. You are a pretty darn cool guy for someone who likes DJ Hazard and ponies. ;)

My only gripe is with the food stands. They seems to be steadily declining in quality, and I'm talking about both the food and the service. I found myself using the food stands only for absolute emergencies and for the most parts I just substituted eating with more alcohol. (I am not a clever man.) I hope you could bring back the döner stand from 2011 or possibly even overhaul the whole thing. I really hope I don't have to go back to stocking canned foods etc. from the market for the whole weekend.

Also the guy at the cocktail stand needs to be given some measuring cups. At times the drinks were so strong that I felt like curling up in a fetal position and dying and at times I felt like I had just paid four euros for a glass of juice.

Complaining about these things however make me feel like I'm a nitpicker. You've just made the whole party work so smoothly that there's really nothing major left to complain. This year the audio system sounded pretty great right from the get-go, compos were frighteningly well on time (I'm mostly responsible for the delayed Amiga intro compo), and somehow even the toilet tunnel seemed shorter than I remembered..!

Thanks also to all the people I met and talked to and who tolerated my drunken arse. Next time I'll be less wasted, I'll remember everyone's handle and give a hug on top of that. (Yeah Right.)

I have to concur about the food stands. I know quality festival food is really hard to come by, but I would really, really want to have of choice of something that doesn't make me feel all greasy and fat for a week afterwards. It's fine for one night, but after three days it gets pretty difficult and since the stores are closed as well except on Saturday, it's hard to come up with alternate food that would keep. Something like a salad stand, baguettes or something along those lines would be _really_ nice. Or then I'll just jump on the veggie communal kitchen thing if it gets organized next year.

The pizza thing was pretty nice though.

Luckily the pizzas went to the oven for a while, seeing how they handled the stuff right after having a smoke :)

But, indeed, thanks to the orgas for pulling it through very well! There are countless details that go with organizing a big party and that effort often goes unnoticed by the visitors.

There was that permanentish "stand" out in the parking lot across from the hardware/outdoor store and the Rewe. I don't know if it was open Saturday, but if it was, that would have offered some variety. Their signs indicated they at least had spaghetti.

Also, yes, props to the organizers it was an awesome party! I had fun. Evilbot was great. However, I don't think we ever did take that picture of all the guys (and ex-pats) from the US ... next year!

Thanks to everyone who came and got a key fob, it was fun to meet people more-so than when I just wandered around surprising people by handing them one. :) I hope to have more next year, if you missed getting one. They were free, but I did get a sticker and a chocolate bar in return. Quite unexpected, thanks for those. If you wanted to give something in return, I do have a small drive for next year.

Oh, and the pizza was great. I'll agree objectively that 3 stands doesn't offer the same kind of variety as a grocery store, but in my opinion it wasn't too bad for just a weekend. I got breakfast at the hotel I stayed at, so it was lunch and most of my dinners.

I think the issue with the Rewe is, as mentioned, you're pretty much limited to relatively non-perishable goods as there's not really a place to stash things that need to stay cold inside the hall.
Also, from the oneliner evilbot @ home, courtesy of kb_.
And, please don't get me wrong. This was probably my best demo party experience ever (and I've had many) and I do know that I am a bit picky about the food thing. I have managed before and I will manage in the future, and it's my personal choice and problem that I am not too fond of eating meat. Germany in general isn't exactly a vegetarian-friendly place :P Still, this is probably the one thing for me that stands between being a totally awesome party and a perfect one.

Btw, the bakery next to to Rewe has pretty nice baguettes.

re food: we won't be doing the vegan/vegetarian thing again for logistical reasons, although we were thankful for the orgas' facilitation and it was a hit with the folks who did join us.

That said, when and/or if I return (life happens, so this is my knocking on wood) I intend to eat lots of sandwiches from my own groceries which I will keep on hand, may work something out informally with a friend or two.

Food stands and caterers are a total pain to negotiate with in the States (along the lines of "pay us $2000 to show up and sell you food, WTF), I imagine it is just as irritating to deal with in Germany, so kudos to the organizers for getting *anything*, especially over Easter weekend which I imagine must necessitate guaranteeing the food stands a certain amount of business to make it their while.
Preacher: There are some AWESOME vegetable-based spreads at the Rewe which, plus mushrooms or cucumber and bread, with a side of olives, are positively gracious living. I am bringing back at least one can of them to the States where I see nothing like them ever YUM

Pizza was best I've had at a demoparty. So please bring them back next year.
The rest of the outside area seemed in general sloppy. The coctail bar was all time low this year. Not even bothering hanging up the tent properly, and didn't look all that inviting.
Remember earlier years and at Breakpoint the Coctail Bar being one of the best and busiest stands. This year I hardly saw people ordering stuff there. Other years they needed 3 people to handle the load.

The tent for sitting in outside could have been made abit more cozy or whatever. Maybe have a small sound system playing scensat or something. And some lights and heating (heard you were not allowed to use the gas heating thing, so that was a pity.....maybe there is some alternative heating device you can use next year which is allowed)

If all the outside stuff is on the Ansgar guy, then you should give him feedback that next year he should get his shit together and do a better , like he has done in previous years of Revision and Breakpoint.

tFt: with everything that went wrong with the outside area this year, he'll have a hard time convincing me to even let him on the premises next year. I just got notice from the hall owners that he still hasn't finished building down all his stuff...

Thank you very much for great party.
There are many awesome entries and very high quality compos.
Japanese sceners were watching stream from Revision.
They were surprised at these entries and regretted not being there.
I met many great sceners.

Currywurst is very nice but too much ketchup.
And germany sweets have too much suger for me.

The stuff I got from tomohiro and Zavie was _AWESOME_ - but I'm happy that I didn't try it right at the partyplace.
Especially that jelly thing was great!

It is not jelly but konjac. I will bring more next time.

Next year Easter is around April 20th, hopefully with nice Spring weather, so that we all can dwell on the meadows again without a "Charkov Parka" ;)
