The whereabouts of the "Snaps of DOOM" are inconclusive:
moqui: I agree that it is legitimate to allow sponsors to show some sort of commercial. I just wished they were not of the military/war/violence kind.
Artists that play their own stuff, or scene standards, instead of pop stuff like prodigy... anyone that plays something without a laptop on a desk would be a step forward.

During Revision other versions of the long jingle with fitting vocals were created by the orga team - I do not have those. Also I do not have the videos featuring the synced texts.
There is no full version of the track, since well I didn't get the time to do that before the party, I might consider doing that at some point though.

Thanks to the organizing team and all the nice people I met for a great party, had a really good time (except for some rough hours on Friday). Thanks to everyone who said hello and talked to me, apologies to anyone I offended or misbehaved against when drunk (sorry!).
A surprisingly large amount of people were interested in what I thought as a first time ever German demoparty visitor, so: It was great :)
Music is of course a matter of taste and personal preferences, but I'll say this:
- there were quite a few demoscene tracks in h0ffman's sets.
- are you suggesting that there should be vinyl only ("no laptops on the desk") sets of demoscene soundtracks only? If so, you should start donating money to the djs now, because cutting acetate for 3 two hour sets of demoscene music will be costly. And if you'd be happy with CDJs, you should know that CDJs got quite good at analyzing and auto-syncing over the years.
- there usually doesn't exist club versions of demoscene tracks. I know for a fact that using a laptop (with traktor) is what makes h0ffman capable of playing some of my (way too short for h0ffman's taste) tracks, because he needs to add loop points for there to be intros and outros for mixing at all.
- "pop stuff like prodigy"? Really? Admittedly, Charly was in the UK charts in 1991, but it's been a while since I've heard it on daytime radio. Break And Enter was afaik never released as a single. I for one felt really great about hearing my own track between those two tracks in h0ffman's set, considering how big of an influence Prodigy is for my music.
Oh and of course: if what you want are livesets from demoscene artists, then you should know that there aren't that many of us that could do that without a computer on stage. And to be honest, I'd rather hear the DJs that played Revision this year play a varied selection of music than myself playing music from a sequencer for a couple of hours. On a laptop :P

The laptop thing was a metaphore (xerxes and friends used a laptop, a long time ago in a party far far away, and it would be awesome if they played again). I know multiple people on stage + instruments are a lot more expensive, etc, but my main complaint is really about diversity on the main stage (house + dubstep + breakbeat...). I'll go make a demo about it.

If someone really wants to have the Videos i can upload them to scene.org, still have all original files on my drive aswell as those created at the partyplace, i should make them a Bit smaller than fullhd, though

For the DJ aspect, there is still the option to extend the Traktor setup with the timecode records.
Regarding the live music thing. Last year there were two live bands, so xernobyl, your request is sort of invalid.
The "Prodigy- Pop" statement is completely bollocks because the tune h0ffman dropped was considered underground when it got released - it made its way to the charts resulting in freakin' haters calling Howlett a "sell out". "Charly" has the same merit as Liquid's "Sweet Harmony" ( which is a total and utter underground hardcore classic) which were both briliantly placed in his set, making me breaking my legs.

Well all back home, well rested and nearly ready for work tomorrow. A big shout to all the organisers as ever for pulling together and running so smoothly something of this magnitude! My mind boggles at just how freaking massive a task this must all be.

T-101 for the awesome gesture during the prize giving, that bottle will be enjoyed, but not on a school night ;)
Wikilund and crew for their fresh enthusiastic party spirit
Esau for two cracking music entries, might need your protracker skills for another project I'm thinking about.. but that'll be later..

Both DJ sets were great I think - masterly way of pushing all my buttons and if Dwarf hadn't gifted me with the great boon of the black plague, I would have danced my ass off. Kudos to painkillers and Schnapps of Doom for keeping me on my legs long enough not to miss any compos. Today however I cannot exist without an overdose of painkillers, garlic and cup-cakes.

Yes, thanks to Puryx for the jingles - I missed a few compos so I gotta hear what evil robot has to say!
I think the entire concept with the jingle and robot announcer was great, the stream-team even mixed a bit of jumping between the different camera angles when the wub-wub kicked in, to entertain us sofasceners!

Puryx!!! YES!! Love the jingle. It's going to wake me up from now on. It should do a pretty good job.
Revision 2013 was a great party, first big Easter party for CiH and myself after we didn't get to any of the Breakpoint parties (due to not enjoying MS2k2). My faith in large parties was restored by attending Assembly 2003, so I guess that helped ;)
The organizers ran a decent ship, compo entries were very good too so I want to thank everyone involved for organizing such a good event.
I think we hope to be back at another Revision at some point in the near future, hopefully sooner rather than later but it depends on finances and the usual stuff.
One thing which stood out as a fantastic positive were the night shuttle buses, which took us back to the Ibis hotel, where we chose to stay in Saarbrucken. Lovely hotel too - it is recommended if sceners visiting next year fancy a change. It's about a half-hour or so walk to the partyplace from the hotel but this wasn't a major problem for us, the walk along with river, on the city side was lovely.
