does ZX Spectrum platform needs to be subdivided?

category: general [glöplog]
ZX Spectrum - 48K
ZX Spectrum - unsorted
I don't interfere but - just one important thing - seems like not everybody realizes:

TAP format is for divIDE users (the most common mass-storage of Spectrum on the West), that allows instant loading.

Well, I dunno if it matters in the discussion, sorry. ;)
yerz, my man, go back to your vodka! :D everything will be alright here :P

@Alone_Coder
"ZX Spectrum" (default category) - which contains unsorted prods
"ZX Spectrum 48K" (new category) - sorted 48K prods

no more vodka mate :) I'm too old.
Only beer now. ;)

Btw - the classification - if required - can be based on this site:
http://zxspectrum48.i-demo.pl/zxdemos.html
(at least partly).
So is the discussion settled now?

"ZX Spectrum" and "ZX Spectrum 48k"?

I think so.
gargaj, please leave it as it is.

separation to just spectrum and spectrum 48k really makes no sense, as this discussion was started by the need to put "enhanced" demos somewhere, that don't work on the usual zx spectrum (and exact clones) hardware.

Is there possibly a less ambiguous name for "ZX Spectrum"?

"ZX Spectrum - 1985 and beyond"
Zx Spectrum 128k/Unsorted
Zx spectrum 48k

Gargaj, maybe "ZX Spectrum 128K", but other discussants will probably not agree with this.

"ZX Spectrum >48K"
any update on this?

ZX Spectrum 128K
ZX Spectrum Pimped
ZX Spectrum Flame War

ref, nothing will happen. The discussion stopped. Alone_Coder blocked my ideas. So everything will remain by old. ZX Spectrum platform doesn't need to be subdivided. It just needs more demos.

let's wait for a while, I guess we should discuss this matter in late spring, when we all are in better mood.

We don't need to get angry, we just need to agree on something, whether it's good or bad. :) Well, after that we need to work on categorizing product. Then we will see how big the flame war gets :)

Diver and I finally agreed with the following subdivision:

ZX Spectrum - 16K (although only 2 prods by now)
ZX Spectrum - 48K (Yerzmyey's list)
ZX Spectrum - 128K (including Pentagon 128)
ZX Spectrum - ATM Turbo 2 (some 20 demos, 13 scene games and a lot of utilities that might be uploaded later)
ZX Spectrum - Enhanced (everything that DOESN'T WORK AT ALL on one of the mentioned bare machines)

Also agreed: sq, lvd, screw, VELESOFT.
And TmK.
Agreed.
