pouet isnt your platform for this... i think you have a bigger chance getting recruits when you harrass peeps straight from game design courses at local applied sciences studies... they're still game industry naive and hopefully motivated. then again, i assume the good ones there will also end up in a good paid position elsewhere. but you might be fortunate now that the economy is shite to get one or two interested.
maali: would a publisher even consider funding a new team made up of students?
Here's another thing I was thinking of why this won't fly: Scams.
My first attempt to enter gamedev was around 2002-3-ish when some guy we remotely knew wanted to start a studio and looked for people; some of us thought it was a nice idea and we agreed in a meeting. During the meeting he outlined his (fairly vague) idea for the project, and noted that he has potential investors at hand. He then asked our conditions; we told him our (reasonable) salary expectations and hardware we'd need. He then proceeded to take those and "round them up" to a much higher sum, which he nonchalantly explained that he would just invoice that and keep the difference to himself. But also that we shouldn't worry about that.
The conversation went kindof downhill after that.

psonice: more likely than a team without a demo product :)
And this is how it looks after trying to crowdsource: http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/fuck-you-all?c=home

I know one guy in Mexico that is not only pissed but on the good side, has a killer idea for a "game"...
i have an idea for a game too. it's called bottlefield. it's like battlefield but the soldiers are shitdrunk. i already left a message on DiCE's answering machine. i need a concept artist, 3d modeller, environment artist, alcoholic, 2.5 coders and a violinist.
I'm going to back that idea with 15e if I get a poster of the alcohol and a t-shirt from the concept artist.
(Yes, you read that correctly. I want the artist's shirt :3)

lovcapone: killer ideas are everywhere - they're pretty worthless without the people who can make them happen. Part of making them happen is coming up with a plan convincing enough to get the right people involved.
That doesn't seem to have happened here - probably because just suggesting that there's a killer idea and some money without any detail at all leaves people very sceptical ;)

Maali: I actually hope someone will make that game because that sounds entertaining as fuck. :_D
MAYBE YOU SHUOLD START A KICKSTARTER FOR IT OMG!
Maali: I'm in.
are you the alcoholic or the violinist?
the violinist needs to have a fatal kidney ailment though!
Count me in!

My wife can play the violin and I can drink. A lot.
A post on a local Facebook group reminded me of this. How's it going? :)
Well, they've been working on it for 2 months, so they probably finished their vertical slice and convinced the BIG NAME publisher to fork over all the money so they could start actually finishing the game and they hired all people needed and are doing great!
Or well, nothing happened and they gave up and went back to their day jobs.
