flashlight: especially in that regard, outline is a good way to start. just ask around for names like Knoeki, Havoc, Okkie, Maali or whoever and we'll make sure we'll show you around with the rest of the bunch. You'll be surprised that the demoscene is one big happy family!

Flashlight: what Maali said, just come along for the full duration of the event, I'm sure you'll enjoy yourself, and you'll make a bunch of new friends :)

We don't bite! Except when there's meat, then we do :)

To add to all the rest, Outline is probably the best introduction for a first timer. It's on a human scale and not too big or small, good facilities, a great friendly atmosphere and awesome people.

When I unpack my computer and open my first bottle of Grolsch, it's like coming home :-)

+1 on full duration and that a smaller, cozier party is better for newcomers.

Planning to be there as well (indien geen onvoorziene omstandigheden zich gaan voordoen - always wanted to say that).

Ramon, you live closer to the party than the vast majority of the organising team. This fact eliminates any excuse for not showing up ;)

So yes, on to more pressing matters: Limp Ninja did a wild entry on the food platform at Outline 2012 which fed pretty much everybody there with indian food made by ninjas and volunteers. If you want them to do that again, this is one of the places to express precisely that.

Oh hell yes that was the best meal I had in months.

The curry was indeed rather good. Bit spicy and I didn't eat all of it, but that's prolly because I was feeling a bit under the weather at the time...

It doesnt have to be indian food again (i was kinda fucked up anyway so it probably wasnt the dishes fault i got sick that day, but one never knows ;), but if you want to make the same meal again i cant blame you because it was very tasty indeed and sure has many fans =)

whatever you cook im quite sure (if im there) im gonna get a thankful plate of it, so +1 for food service!

is there gonna be vegetarian food options?
added on the 2013-04-04 16:59:11 by nosfe nosfe
I think last time there was a vegetarian option as well.
There was vegetarian curry which tasted really nice. I had some the next day together with my peppers cooked in it.
The food was really really nice. And the yoghurt sauce with (fresh!) coriander <3.

I have been really thinking of coming there, but when I counted money for the bus trip, I simply can't make it. I'm poor :(
