modizer : iphone/ipad mod player
category: music [glöplog]
@swapd0, as stated on the appstore page:
"Minimum requirement is iPhone 3G/iPod 2G, iOS 4.0 or more.
iPhone 3GS or faster device recommended."
ipod touch first gen is not bad hardware but I'll probably never support it, sorry for that (no time to optimize more the playback libs)

I know you've be told this a hundred times, but what keeps this out of the AppStore..?
I buy !
SomniusX: did you mean Mac App Store?
bought this for my work iPhone 4 so i can listen to .SIDs at work :)
V2.0 is out with reworked interface, new music visualizers fx and improved playback quality :-)
needs an update, cant download .ft files from modland and the gfx spectrum analyzers are using only 1/10 of the ipad minis display
ModLand has recently reverted some of their custom extensions to originals, so .ft files have been renamed back to .mod. No idea if Modizer caches the database, but if so, the cache can maybe be cleared so that it finds the files under their new location.
I've updated quite significantly modizer over the last months, happy to get feedback or features request if some people here are interested.
blast from the past.. ! well let's just grab it back down then :) thanks for the headsup yoyofr

Yoyofr: do you have an email or something for sending notes/feedback?
Yes,I've just updated my profile with it
Please make a free trial or something. I'd like to compare with other players like VLC.
Modizer is a modules and chiptunes/vgm player, not comparable to VLC (i.e. Not a video player).
I don't have any plan to have a demo version, price is also quite small, equivalent to 1 or 2 coffee cups ;)
It s open-source so you can compile it yourself if you want to test.

I will release modizer v4.0 hopefully very soon, lots of changes:
- fully reworked GFX backend (moving from OpenGL ES 1.0 to Metal)
- integration of projectm to support milkdrop shader with additional fixes of the HLSL->GLSL to improve compatibility
- lots of bug fixes
- Siri & Shortcuts support
- macOS version (v15+)
- updates of usual playback lib with recent version (libsidplayfp, libopenmpt, libxmp, ...)
- updated DB for Modland, HVSC, ASMA
I will also make the app free on the App Store.
If some people wants to test ahead, I can give access to the testing version (should be the same as the final one except if major bugs are identified).
Just need a mail to grant you access.

toujours vivant et encore motivé pour faire évoluer modizer :)
Mais continuez ! faites vous plaiz comme on dit chez nous <3
modizer 4.0 is now available on the appstore, dont hesistate to share feedback :)
Free? Oooooooooooooh! Thanks!
Hmm, it seems buggy. I copied all of my MP3s, OGG, XM, S3M, IT, MID, etc. and then decided to delete them, but iPhone 12 mini's iOS v18.7.2's storage shows your app still hogging the storage. Even its playlist shows deleted songs (*.MP3) that are still playable.
Hi, I think you raised the same as an issue to the GitHub project page.
I understand you used an old setup based on iTunes, right ?
If so please use rather the modern & supported tools => if not directly in modizer, you have use iOS 'Files' native app from Apple. It should work well then
